Look for White Lightning chase models.

They can be hard to spot sometimes, so research the series and what to look for. My pic is a Camaro Z28 White Lightning Chase. Base is white, interior is chrome, that gives it away as a "WL".

Aside from that, have fun! A bit pricey, they aren't Hot Wheels cheapos. Good details and opening features on nearly every model.

Or for number 2 out of 2 large local shops to finally put out other cases, they're like 3 cases behind on all other businesses because they refuse to do large dump bins and slowly restock their pegs at a rage inducing pace

Not to mention the latest case in the few rare businesses that seems to have hit the shelves about a month and half ago was the H case

Maybe get the next case cars popping up before the christmas? I at least hope so.

Hey /toy/bros, I'm posting a pic of my small "haul" here for the first time. Here in Europe retailers have very varying selections on shelves, but I'm just happy with what I can find. I'm a huge sucker for 50s, 60s and 70s sport cars so I'll be collecting those primarily. And Twin Mill is just something I've wanted since I learned about the history of HW, that design is so timeless. And in a way, it's a 60s car too, heh.

Yep, the Cougar is awesome! Pretty sure I'll never have a realistic chance to own an actual American muscle car but I especially love cars like those. Mustangs, Pontiacs, etc. Being a fan of those is actually pretty uncommon where I live, most of guys here are into BMWs and Mercedes-Benzes.
By the way, I've noticed that it's much harder to find actual "real life" cars in stores, while the pegs are bursting with fantasy vehicles. Is this a thing in other countries too?

Sadly, local retailers are not known to be up to date on anything or putting new stuff on their shelves, it could even be that they are giving the id a hard pass and won't even stock it so it won't even hit the shelves anywhere

Found an old relic somewhere in my house: A Nissan Titan. Least the wheels aren't crooked.

I'm moving tomorrow, and next week there's a new hobby shop that's opening sells not just Hot Wheels & Matchbox, but a lot of die cast cars.

I might be going there, because I have a backlog of cars to get, and the majority are hard-to-find or discontinued cars. If there's the Wail Tale, I'm getting my hands on it, no matter the cost.

Hello people of the /Toys/ board, I very rarely post on any of the 4chan boards and saw this and said why the hell not. I collect many things, Lego, Pops, diecast and just about anything I think could be of value in the future. I mostly collect diecast specifically Hot Wheels, I only started collect at the end of last year due to me not really caring for it as a kid, mostly due to video games. But I have over 600+ cars and plan on expanding until I no longer exist. Oh and this pic is actually a haul from a guy I buy from online. Also I mostly collect production cars and some of the weird cars every once in a while. And to end this all I have a question, What do you guys use to store your cars? Im currently using Hot Cases (I have 6 already full, planning on buying more), but just wanted to know of some other ways to store cars.

These thread organizers work great for loose cars. You can slide a sheet of bubble wrap between the lid and compartments for extra safety.

I personally like the Super 6 lane raceway. It has a electronic finish, you can add as much orange track to it as you want. FYI 20.625 feet equals a 1/64th scale quarter mile for drag racing. They were a bit pricey. $99.99 at the stores. Now Amazon and eBay have them.

The best type of finds right here. A Hot Wheels shop was open for business today, complete with a wall of T-Hunts and discontinued cars. Sadly, the guy is driving a hard bargain with the first 3 cars shown (The others are from Wal-Mart). Those cars are on my backlog for a long time, and that Shock Factor costed twice as much as the T-Hunt Roll Cage. I tried to offer a loose '36 Cord for $2.

I found a few Superbirds, but he didn't set the prices for the loose cars yet. One of them, the HW Classics costs too much for my tastes.

The last model on the pegs was a little advertising truck with a flatbed trailer advertising hamburgers. Sorry I didn't get a shot of it.

I bought the Tomica French Fry truck at Walmart today. It seemed to be the only Tomica vehicle they had left or else I probably would have bought some of the others too. In my country, if you would go and start going through the boxes from which a worker is filling the shelves, or has left there while on a lunch break or fetching more, you'd probably get escorted out of the shop. I say probably, because nobody never does that, it's like an unspoken rule that until the products are on the shelf, you're not allowed or supposed to touch them, or even snatching them up from the shelf while it is still being filled is considered bothering the worker while he or she works, and frowned upon.

I did a proper champion lineup on where the funny car and roadster go, and based on this, the lamborghini centenario roadster is the better car out of the two.

Silhouettes are mainly at Walmart and Target, but you might get lucky and find them at Car Parts stores like Autozone, O'Reilly, and Pep Boys. Just be warned that employees at an auto parts store are 99% likely to be toy car collectors too. So you might come up empty handed.

One time I went hunting at a Walmart on a whim at 2pm and they had JUST put out a triple dump bin with 12 cases emptied into it! And of course 2 of the local hunter, hoarder, scalpers were there too. I dunno how they knew it was coming out at 2pm in the fucking afternoon. I scored 2 $TH King Kudas from that hit.

Anytime I see other people at the toy car section, I strike up a conversation with them. It pays to get to know the locals and their routines. You might just make a new connection for hunting and trading too!

You're probably thinking of regular treasure hunts. Those are about 2 in every 3 cases.
Supers are about 1 in every 12 cases.

With the amount of Hot Wheels that Toys R Us stocks I wouldn't be surprised if you thought the numbers were higher than they are. I got my first and second supers from Toys R Us back in the day.

Oh yeah, regular thunts were definitely one per case. I received the HW cases from FedEx and for a time, there was a crazy streak where there would be a super in every case we got in. Sometimes supers from the previous assortment would show up in place of the current one too.

Well then, my folks told me they found some kind of special hot wheels at germany, where they are staying for holliday, and are bringing me some because they know of my little collecting hobby and looking after their dog has been a big big pain in the anus.

fast and furious anon here, here is my haul from visiting a target and walmart.

those nano cars have a cool level of detail and are nice and heavy for such small cars, but their wheels don't even roll. what garbage.

it's really fun looking at all the cool colors and sculpts on normal $1.00 hot wheels, but after messing around with some premium cars I don't know if I want to collect normal ones. The rubber tires make SUCH a difference, as do the details on the front and rear grills.

also, i want to get some of the hot wheels id cars just to fuck around with the mobile app some more, but I didn't see them anywhere. Are they still rolling out?
