>>7648148Pretty sure we all knew what he meant, same thing really in the long run for how it affects the model kit.
>>7648147KOs and outright bootlegs of model kits are typically a better bet for quality then action figures. Might have to do with the fact the plastic material is easier to deal with, you got entire sprues being copied versus trying to copy an assembled figure, and perhaps the most important of all is as a model kit we will tolerate and fix the issues that do crop up. Say there is issues with the pegs, we just sand that stuff down, no biggie. Flash lines? Exacto knife it away.
There will be some bigger issues now and then, but again they are fixable. The plastic tends to be a bit more brittle then usual, but we model builders are cutting the parts off the sprues so we have a better grasp of what tolerances the plastic material has and can adjust our handling more instinctively.
In other words, don't be afraid by cheaper chinese versions of kits. Unless you want a kit with special stuff like say HMM kits with special characters. You don't get those dudes, only the generic pilots on sprues. So no Zeek, Van, Fiona for your blade liger Van ver.
>>7648182Yeap, and same for the HMM, they did pretty much all of the Ligers and the Saber Tigers. Sadly havent found any knock off saurers. The D-style comes in different colors then normal so even if you got all the normal legit ones, you might want the KOs for even more colors.
I found there are two made by STK(no idea) and two made by Dragon Momoka which I know is a fairly respected name in the Gunpla community as they even made completely unique gundam kits. Last I heard, they are dead
