Their introduction story (Mutant Massacre) is a major fucking milestone moment in the X-Men franchise, to the point that it's a dividing line moment on par with Giant Size X-Men #1, Muir Island Saga, and New X-Men #114 as far as their introduction signalling the end of one era of X-Men lore and the beginning of a brand new one.

Another anon who doesn't know most of these characters here--I feel like they only look kinda cool here because of the illustrator's style, and most of these designs would look cheap and horrible and boring in Marvel Legends form. Shit, most of these would just be painted bare bucks since they don't have much need for sculpted detail on their bodies. Absolutely boring and I can already guess which bodies Hasbro would use. They would rot on the shelves for months.

You could create most of the Marauders easily...

Vertigo= regular female buck

Archlight: use a She-Hulk buck with shoulder strap accessory and alt Asian Grace Jones head

Riptide: same shit they did with Cannonball; no legs and a whirlwind lower torso and alt hands throwing blades

Scalphunter: use the Luke Cage buck with lots of guns

Prism: Iceman mold with new head

Scrambler: suit body and new hand; maybe a gun and energy effect alt hands

Blockbuster: retool of Strong Guy BAF

Polaris: repaint of Stroman Polaris with new head and Malice collar

We don't have enough left for a full X-Factor 90's wave unless you do some reissues. Havok, Polaris and Wolfsbane are left, not counting Guido. Maybe they could pad it out by doing a coatless Multiple Man and a Quicksilver with a different head. I guess you could throw Random in there too. More likely I think we'll get one of the remaining members and the rest of the wave is other X-Men affiliated characters.

Though if they only do one I hope it's Wolfsbane.

Not going to happen, because Havok and Polaris are earmarked for a two-pack and Strong Guy will be an upcoming BAF.

But as it stands, all we are missing is Wolfsbane; but there in lies a huge problem: do we get Liefeld-New Mutants Rahne or X-Factor Rahne? We're getting Boom Boom and Cannonball in their New Mutants costumes not X-Force costumes so it will be interesting how which Rahne we get. Adding to this, since we are getting the end stage New Mutants, there would be the temptation of releasing Rahne in her Liefeld garb along with Rictor in a two pack.

Scrambler, Archlight, Vertigo, classic Sabretooth, and Riptide paired with classic Angel (X-Factor costume), Rogue (repainted in her Romita/Silvestri outfit), Bearded Thor, and maybe brown suit Wolverine with unmasked head.

Malice possessed Polaris can be reserved for a two-pack with the upcoming Jim Lee Storm figure (her costume painted black like the one she wore during the Outback era) while Scalphunter and Harpoon can be general releases.

Plus I don't think Hasbro is specifically trying to build the late era New Mutants. I think they're going with "first issue X-Force" and since the late NM outfits carried over into the first issues of X-Force, that's why Cannonball and Boom Boom are wearing them. Plus I think Cannonball stuck with that outfit for a while.

Yeah they were fucking idiots....again. When one online retailer lists them but the 2 largest ones don't, you know they fucked up. There was a reason BBTS and EA didn't list them. Shit like this IMO makes them look like the "mom and pop" store they truly are.

Yes. They'll probably just do a few releases every next few waves. That seems to be their formula. With Havok and Polaris rumored to be in that new 2 pack and Multiple man and Quicksilver already done, they just need to release Wolfsbane, and Strong Guy to get the V2 team done. Maybe a Random.

They could do some V3 team members like a new Forge, Mystique, Sabretooth, Wild Child, or Shard also.

Nope. Most of them are available anywhere. The exclusives are as follows:

Target: Iron Man Mk 50/Iron Spider 2 Pack
Amazon (unconfirmed but likely): WWII Cap/Peggy Carter 2 pack
Walmart: Alex Ross style Captain America

I'm not concerned about obtaining the 2 packs, it's Cap I'm nervous about. Only way I was able to aquire Worthy Cap was to verify nine of my local stores got him and then stalk BrickSeek for weeks. And when he finally showed up it was lucky I went in the morning to get him because he was gone by that evening.

Man, I knew it wasn't going to be popular but I'm amazed at just how poorly that one is selling. One of my local Walmarts went through three cases of the Kingpin wave and apparently only two of the six arms Spideys got bought, so we have four of them sitting on the pegs. Even the other duds Black Cat and Puma only have one each.

It's a weak wave in general and you can tell the only reason any of them move as fast as they do is because people really want to complete Kingpin. The others would be bigger peg poison if this wave had a less exciting BAF, or if they didn't come with a BAF piece at all. That's Six Arm Spidey's biggest problem, the fact that he has no BAF piece means there's no real incentive for people to buy him unless they legitimately want the figure, and most people just don't.

Yes and no. Pretty much every time she appeared, she was just depicted as this billowing cloak with a head but it was such a big cloak you couldn't tell if she had a body under there or if she was just a cloak with some kind of void underneath, like Cloak. She once caught Cannonball inside her cloak as if it were just a big emptiness, but at least once they showed her having a regular body under the cloak, and she looks completely normal when wearing regular clothes.

I think nobody really put much thought into it, especially since her powers weren't even well defined.

There was. The color change version came in a 4 pack from the Sears catalogue. I remember ordering it. LOL! It did get a very limited release on shelves before Toy Biz made the running change to the "blue" version.

I don't have either of them but I was thinking of getting a few of Night Monkey to make into Ninja fodder enemies and I didn't get the New suit because it was super glossy. Like it looked like it was a cheap 4 POA toy you'd get at a dollar store. But apparently if you hit it with some dull coat and a gundam pen you can make it look good. The few reviews I've seen of them say they are perfectly fine figures so go ahead if you're interested I guess.

Unrelated but I really wish hasbro would go balls deep into a marvel monsters wave. It would give them the chance to re-release Foom whilst also giving us Marvel Horror characters. Beyond that, I just want figure representations of the old kirby monsters.

The movie figures haven't hit my area yet but otherwise I'm only missing Doppleganger. I can kinda give him a pass since he's got a better head and arms/legs than 6-armed Spidey did but it is still kinda rough there's not even some sorta ball socket joint in the waist or something. If Wolverine and Cyclops are just re-releases that sucks. We really don't need a a straight re-release of any of the wolverines we've had before. The brown one got two releases already. I could see cyclops being bomber jacket version of straight re-release/alternate head, as two-packs often do that now.

Seeing as I already have both, I’d love a rerelease of the Apocalypse wolverine with bone claws, or Cyclops yelling, or either of them with the Old Man Logan jackets and arms.
