Honestly, I bought it off of some guy on eBay, he just listed it as a custom head for Mythic Legions figures. I wanted a redhead and I'm not good at doing that sort of thing myself (at least not yet).

Oh, maybe it’s just because I’m a modern Bong but I couldn’t help but notice that the cross on the male Templar’s tabard. It’s like "hey that’s my flag but not really", but I’m not a historian so idk if they used actually that cross with the weird arrow ends and I thought it might be a situation like Pokemon where they weren’t allowed to show the nurses with an actual Red Cross.

Will fourhorsemen give more info about the instock sale before it hits, like the prices for each available figure and such? or are we left to find out once it opens? I cant understand the prices for some of the figures and its really screwing with my options of what i want to get. Why is the AoD orc legion builder more expensive than others yet comes with less accessories? Why is the red orc the price of a premium figure when it looks like a legion builder? What are the odds of them making changes to the pricing of some figures?

The general rule is that if it has any paint, it'll be more expensive. The Orc legion builder and Red Orc have paints in them, and hence more expensive. This was also the case with 1.0 orc legion builder and 2.0 skinny skellies legion builder.

The cheapo legion builders are usually just solid molded plastic with no paint. Look at the gold, silver and black knights.

The 2.0 Skinny Sellies Legion builder doesn't just come with fancy paint details, but also a whole extra torso and head. So it looks like you're getting your money's worth with it.

Well first of let me congratulate you on your good taste in figures.
I have Pixxus, Vorgus Vermillius and Xarria.
I love both Vorgus and Pixxus and they are absolutely great, but I'd probably say go for Xarria, she is a much more unique figure with some really cool details and accessories. I skipped her too at first, but bought her when I saw her with pauldrons, which is a look that somehow is barely advertised even though it adds so much imo

This post is almost correct but not quite. The cheapest Legion Builder figures, The Iron and Steel Knights, Vampire, Elf, Goblin, Silver and Cave Dwarves and All Star Skeleton, are all $22 because they have limited paint apps. They're mostly not molded in their actual colors, and they do have at least two or three paint apps applied. The Vampire for instance, has a solid, very shiny black paint job on her entire body and armor, while the head has white paint with shading and toning around the eyes, mouth and cheeks, with a purple painted plume.

The Female Orc, and I believe the Templar figure, each have a bit more paint, thus they're slightly higher priced, while the Female Barbarian and 2.0 Skeleton Builder, have far more paint, and also come with extra parts, making them cost the same as a fully painted figure, despite being labelled Legion Builders.

As for the Fury (Red) Orc, while he's technically a troop builder, there's many troop builders with "Deluxe" paint schemes, making them cost just as much as most other normal figures. The Fury Orc Specifically has a very nice dry brushing over his entire armor, giving it far more texture then the basic Orc Builders had, hence his higher price point.

Personally, I would've preferred it if they kept all the Troop Builder type figures at the Legion point to make the fully painted figures feel more special, but it is what it is. But I still feel stuff like the Red Orc or the Dark Elf Soldier or the Silverhorn Sentry would've worked much better as either cheaper Troop builders.

Xarria is the demon lady? Yeah, she'd probably stand out of most from what you have.

Personally, I'd get Pixxus from that list, but if you want a good guy I'd go for the black gladiator.

I think elf ranger if good, but I got a lot of toybiz Legolases, so I'm not to interested in that style of elf myself.

Speaking of Xarria, I've got to say that I was very skeptical of the scuplt of the bare female body during the production and complained about it quite a bit, but it does look much better in hands that it looks in pictures, so for those of you thinking about buying one of such females but don't like how they look in the pics just go ahead and get them.
They have good proportions, the shapes are there, just not with supercut definition, and they have quite some thiccness, all of which are hard to get in a picture but become apparent when you have the 3D thing in front of you.

I just get them from their official store ( http://storehorsemen-com.3dcartstores.com/ ). We have to pay international shipping and may have to pay import taxes if the packet gets stopped at the customs office, but at the end of the day it's cheaper and more convenient than buying second hand from some European reseller, since there's no official vendor of these in Europe. If you need a replacement piece you can just contact the 4H since you bought the product directly from them, etc.

as others have said, get them from the 4H directly, it's the cheapest method. Shipping isn't too bad, somewhere in the 20-35$ range in my experience. And sometimes they slip through customs for some reason

I live in Spain and our tradition of slackers fortunately include customs office inspectors. Packages rarely get stopped unless they are urgent (Fedex, DHL...) or notoriously big.

This video says that there was a mixup with the factory, and instead of making the new female barbarian legion builder set, they made the old deluxe male barbarian set, and it might be in the sale instead of the new one.

It's pretty good, that one was my first figure (along with the templar legion builder). A nice array of accessories you can make some cool looking figures with.
But be aware, the colours might not be like on the picture. I bought one that (I think) was a reproduction and he's much more tan with less detailed armour. No idea why that happened or which version they produced this time.
Also some people had problems with paint rub around the shoulder

Product Fulfillment is one of their biggest weaknesses so this can only be an improvement. Assuming this new company is as good as they make it seem.

Still wish they could also farm out the Story telling aspect of the line. I'm sure there's tons of small time companies that could run a mini web comic or something to actually tell the stories of these figures.

Don't think you can go wrong with any of the gobos. They all have unique heads except for Gonxx who shares the helmeted head with the legion builder.

I myself am after Snagg & the gobo legion builder. However I know one anon said he prefers Knubnik over the Gobo legion builder.

Aside from goblins, do you want more dwarfs and skeletons to go with the two you got, or would you rather have vastly different characters? How many do you want to get?

It doesn't seem that they would be handling producing the packaging, I think their role is around fulfillment, so they'll be handling receiving goods from the factory, warehousing and shipping out orders.

This may mean that they can order and store more in each production run to have more in stock, But it's not clear if that's the case.

I think what this will definitely mean is that less of their time movies spent handling delivering orders to customers, which means they can focus on designing new figures and overseeing production. No more periods of time where everything stops so they can take trips to the post office

It seems like a crapshoot? There was at least one guy who got a couple from 4H with all the gold paintwork, but a couple people here got plain silver ones from BBTS's batch. I'm going to order one or two more, but I'm expecting to have to fill in the gold myself.

As someone new to Mythic Legions. I'm excited for the sale tonight but also thinking that I will miss out.

Anyone have any suggestions for figure choice? I like Cowarros, faunus, b'alam.

It used to be really bad, but with the new policy of only 2 of each character during the first hour it got a lot better. But expect the website to be extremely slow.
As for suggestions Brother Mandibulus is probably my favourite Mythic Legions figure, not sure if he fits your taste though

I was not aware that the Barbarian Builder would be available, if so i'll go just go with him, however if not i'll go with Xarria like you guys suggested and either Elf Ranger or Calavius as i need more good guys and both look pretty cool.

I just wanna point out that painting these is easy as hell, the sculpt basically makes it paint by numbers tier. Pic related got me into painting them, it took a couple hours and 5 bucks of paint from target. It's a shame they don't have any 1.0 knight builders going up tonight, but I'd recommend getting at least a spare 2.0 to try painting.

So I swapped Ravaena's head and cloak onto Gadriel's body, and I'm liking that a lot. I need to pain the neck peg white though, for whatever reason they didn't make it match Gadriel's armor... literally the only one of the female knights which is like that.

Found a better solution. Swapped that neck peg over to the Elven Ranger body. Looks good either with Gadriel's head or the Ranger head (with the Ranger head it just looks like part of the leather armor). I actually quite like Gadriel's head on that body, may leave it that way.

Yeah, I like her this way. Those scars fit really well with the ranger aesthetic. I wish these belts they include with every character were a little tighter, they don't fit anyone very well as far as I can tell, especially around the waist.

Last picture for now, got everyone out of box, set up and parts swapped around as I wanted. Really happy with them, going to clear out some space on my shelves tomorrow for them. Can't wait for my order from the sale to come in, got some more baddies, some male knights and a couple of other things on the way.

Considering getting red wings for the Delphina body to go with the red hair, but I'm kind of liking how it goes with the red fletching of her crossbow bolts for now. Also I have Eagalus on the way, and that's two winged figures which I'm thinking will take up a fair amount of shelf real estate (though I'm thinking of having him in a flying pose with a Figuarts stand, charging at the Ice Troll).

No primer, it was the first time I really painted anything so I didn't think of it, but it still came out decent. The first coat did look like shit, but the next couple brought it together. Same thing with the 2.0 stuff, hit it with an undercoat, do some zero effort drybrushing, and paint over the lines.

I don't really see beginner tutorial videos for 1/12 scale figures, but you can mostly rip off the technique of any scale and adapt it to your own dioramas.

So I just got this head in the mail, and it doesn't seem as nice as your pic. I know all hand painted figures can't be the same, but this one has some really messed up freckles, stoned looking eyes and a very noticeable buck tooth stare. It's also a lot smaller then I thought it'd be, it just looks wrong on the bare skinned legion girls.

It's not terrible, but unless you touched it up yourself, I feel yours came out much better then mine.

Both New York and Michigan have had major power outages.

Other areas have ranged form power out for a few seconds, to still out since Friday.

I was fortunate that I only lost cable, phone, & Interest for a day; while main power was still on. Other parts of my town were out for a day or two, and my walgreens is running on half power.

I started making one of my own but when I did the lines in the floor the foam would rip a bit in the creases. Is that normal/going to be hard to see in the final product? I used a new exacto knife for it but it'd still rip when it came to certain sections.

I can't remember about the cheaper legion builder on the right. Maybe 40-45?

They are not stupidly big nor they have really complex paint, so it's just a reasonable price jump from the $35 of normal-sized figures.

Early this month I asked for the missing kickstarter Sword Horsemen for the third time (first time they couldn't send it because of the defective batch, second was ignored, third got a quick reply that they'd sent it asap) and I've just received the shipping notification.
