I'm a long time DC comics fan, and I'm looking for some good statues, action figures and anything else for my shelves.

Any recommendations? Should I go official or etsy-esque sites.

And the Mezco Dark Knight Returns Batman is pretty highly rated - but only available on the secondary market, and eve the general release version id getting a bit higher in price, but an amazing figure. Still one of Mezco's best.

Looking at this guy now I'm almost glad I never bit the bullet on him. I don't think most of the earlier Mezco stuff is going to age well, both physically and visually. I can't help but look at most of these guys as wearing pajamas. I don't like the tacticool stuff they're doing either but I get it, it's an easy out of the pjs look.

That's not really a problem with the figure...that just means you don't like the traditional superhero one piece spandex look.

I can understand how people would want their heroes to be covered in lines and padding and buckles so they don't feel like PJ's in a modern setting...it's just a matter of taste, I like the old spandex look over the "Mezco flair" look and to me the DKR batman is still the best looking Batman in the line.

My Mafex Spiderman is right on 6in and my Mafex Deadpool is around 6 1/2, I can't imagine Batman being any shorter then Spiderman. I think it'll be fine - with the caveat that I'm not as obsessive about height as some people around here.

Mezco's style is just really iffy though.
Sometimes it looks good, othertimes it doesn't.

A lot of people don't like the old DC Direct/Collectables stuff because of the articulation, but they have some fantastic sculpts. This is the Darwyn Cooke Designer Series Batman.

Not at all true. I just feel that one piece spandex look does not translate well to this scale when using cloth goods.
