The Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce, Decepticon Phantomstrike Squadron, and Fan-Vote Battle 3-pack amazon exclusives are now up for preorder.

Astrotrain, Apeface, Spinister, Crosshairs, and the Refraktor 3-pack are up for preorder elsewhere. Lancer and Galactic Man Shockwave are for sale on pulse and preorders elsewhere.

The Rainmaker 3-pack is now creeping into targets, and Unicron is still up on Haslab! Hard times for anons' wallets!

Personally, idgaf about Unicron. An ultra poor loser such as myself can't be bothered to save up the money. I must buy smaller but ultimately lamer purchases, like overpriced comic book floppies, because my self-control is frankly quite weak. And I have been brainwashed to consume at all costs. I don't have the shelf space for Unicron anyways, let alone everything else I have. However, once Unicron is out and scalpers charge x2 price, I'll be sad and complain about Hasbruh overpricing it in the first place. I'll probably say "only brainlets pay that much for a toy", though deep down I would have done the same. "Muh cheap prices" and all that. All part of being an adult that buys toys for himself and not kids.

At least I'm self-aware. Got that going for me.

I'm sort of surprised we haven't seen a Metroplex KO but Max and Trypticon sell for so little that there's no point in doing KOs of them. Metroplex also has some 3P options too and they KO makers might not see enough demand for a large toy like that. However Unicron will be a super high-demand item that between the kickstarter and Mall exclusive status it will be hard as hell to get once the limited few made are sold out. Weijiang/Black Mama/whatever their name is now will likely be on it quick and other KO companies have already stated they will be doing it- they said that on reveal day.

Did that information come out today because last I heard there was no word on if their preorders would count towards the Haslabs or not and very little detail was out concerning how they were actually doing it.

If that was true we'd already have 3p options, the only 3p metroplex option is tiny, and most people here want metrotitan and a cheap titan grand would be great, but KO companies know big toys won't sell unless they're optimus.

So according to the people there Unicron suffered a fall of about 2 feet maybe 18 inches and the weight of him caused him to actually break into three sections. His waist cracked open, his arm snapped off where the employee tried to grab it in order to catch it and there was sever damage to the head and left shoulder.

The wings were also crushed because this thing weighs like 30 pounds and has tiny fucking pieces and shit is made out of clear plastic in many areas.

It’s going to be a nightmare to keep for decades upon decades

Bot mode is apparently held together by friction in many areas so if you get loose joints the fucker is going to collapse on himself. He was not dropped from a big height and for the fucking prototype to break that badly does not look good. Basically he’s too fucking big and can only support himself under the right conditions but everything else he really can’t stand up in the literal sense.

If you want him to last I would say just keep him in planet mode, bot mode is asking for trouble. The whole abdomen is going to be made of clear plastic in the final version.

A 3P company was going to make this last year but they vanished after showing off finished prototype photos. They were a new company though and the existing companies have a strangehold on factories, and it was much larger than the original Neo version- at least Siege Unicron size. While it's amazing they made a prototype using what little images we have of the official proto, they likely failed to get funding. But maybe the CAD files exist and some other company will get them.

Honestly it’s probably just to hold on to the name. Armageddon is gonna have the Micromaster combiners so we’re gonna get the real rendition in that. They did the same thing with the Protectobots and released a non-combining set of multipacks in colors that people assumed might possibly be a reference to guard city because They were inaccurate as hell and the only real clue was red Hotspot, but Hotspot wasn’t even a firetruck but a crane because they used the Grapple mold while the rest were movie and prime molds. The Hotspot in that set was repurposed as Hosehead.

So figure yellow firetruck guy could wind up being repurposed as some different literal who down the line.

I'm kinda surprised they made another sprue for Ratchet replacing all the dark gray bits. Seriously, he has different hands, shoulders, pelvis, and bumper.

Plus the front of the feet pieces are also new (maybe the weapons are on this sprue).

My Siege Starscream and botbots arrived today, it's my first time getting anything from these lines and I'm pretty happy with them.
Starscream is pretty great, good articulation and design, the battle damage also isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
The botbots are pretty good to, though I found some of them awkward to transform due to stiffness they are still cute little figures.
Also I'm an idiot and didn't realise I needed to adjust Starscreams arms out of the box to use the elbow joint so the pictures I took are pretty stiff.

If we go by pure articulation, Soundwave's great, but his alt mode is not everyone's cup of tea. It's like a giant flying table. Soundblaser (his Headmasters black repaint with larger tape space) is a Walmart exclusive, so you have options.

Megatron is a mixed bag, the molds seems to suffer from loose bits right out of the (almost always one of the ankles and maybe hips), but he's I find him fine aside from that. Amazon also has him for 19 for a while now, the lowest you can get him for now.

MP kept the tapes the same size- which I felt was a bad idea and showed why shrinking MP to standard voyager/leader class sizes was a detriment. It hurt the tape design horribly being so small and complex, Rumble was really the only good one of the bunch yet still suffered to some degree.

I think it'd be interesting to see how they'd handle coneheads. Fitting a different head into the alt mode would be easy enough, but getting the wings to end up on the legs for Dirge/Ramjet would require a more significant change. If they make the coneheads, I would want some sort of remolded wings though, even if they still ended up on the back in robot mode. I think it'd all be way too samey to have Thundercracker, Ion Storm and Dirge with identical molds.

Given that the robot body basically is independent from the jet mode, they'd be able to remold the robot parts to be more feminine without impacting transformation.

The design is based on Kup's IDW Robot mode during AHM, the only new part was the truck mode.

I dunno, the TR one is still a pretty big departure, transformation wise.
I'm not saying they designed him as ironhide, I'm saying they designed him like Optimus/motormaster, sacrificing aspects so it can be remolded.
I mean, the alt mode for kup, if done in TR, would have looked much better than what we got.

I do admit it's weird, since Kup feels like a figure that would have come out during T30, since he has more in common with those figures from that era than he does in TR, which just had most figures based on their G1 versions, like Blur.

Look up Ironhide's model. All the dark grey bits were replaced on Ratchet's toy with a different set of parts or sprue. Since they're from the same batch of parts, coloring those red would mean his crotch, pelvis, shoulders, and bumper would also be red.
