>>7657109So I will answer this question honestly.
I picked up all three versions of Carol (OP, the green Target exclusive, and the jacket version).
Only Targets carried the wave in stores. It took a long time for the green version to hit shelves (I had ordered mine online). They did like they do with the Star Wars toys, let the shelves go almost completely bare, then stock a case or two of a single exclusive (and nothing else until they clear out). I believe the regular case might've gotten one restock right before that? Target is pretty shit for Legends, skipping many waves because they pick a clog wave and sit on it forever.
Walmart finally listed some online and I picked up another jacket Carol on sale to do a head swap. The jacket look is cool.
Anyway...I don't think this wave was anywhere near as saturated as Black Panther. God damn that was embarrassing. It was really like somebody said "Harrisburg is FULL of niggers, so let's dump all the darkie dark wave toys there" because they forgot 'dem programs don't cover action figures. I can't tell you how much I dread Black Panther getting a sequel, because I know we'll drown in more Black Panther and bald black woman toys for another year.
So I guess what I'm saying is Captain Marvel sold alright but it wasn't like stores had much else on shelves to compete with it. No Star Wars, no TransFormers, no DC Multiverse, no other waves of Marvel Legends.
The dolls, though, they are fucking dusty. But Target still refuses to clear them out with the other Marvel Rising dolls.
