>>7664864MP Soundwave is one of THE most overrated figures of all time. The transformation is pretty sloppy for something that just has to be a box, and it's not even very good at that. Articulation on everything from the waist down is various levels of clunky, archaic, or just plain dumb (looking at you, hip joints). And that stupid chest gimmick takes up a ton of space and hardly works well enough to justify itself. It definitely feels like it belongs more with the MP-01 through MP-09 ilk rather than MP-10 and beyond.
>>7664878>I'll always hold onto my MP-13I recently downsized my MP collection, and Soundwave was the first to go. I realized I was holding onto him simply because everyone always says he's awesome, but I never really clicked with him. Might be because I have no particular connection to G1 or the character, but on its own merit as a toy, I found the figure quite forgettable. I was more reluctant about selling off his mini-cassettes than Soundwave himself, and even those kind of sucked because Takara was autistic about making them the same size as the originals.
