I actually have the Harry Potter plush for Fawkes (the phoenix), and it's soft, but not the softest it could be. It does has wire in the legs and neck that allow for limited posing if that interests you. Fortunately, I was able to find several phoenix plush that aren't affiliated with a franchise. This was fun to look into because I love mythology, and phoenixes happen to be among my favorite creatures.
