I’d assume they’ll be comparable to Mezco.

Does anyone have Hot Toys’ 1/12 Appleseed kits, or their 1/12 Batman/Catwoman/Bat?would be curious. I mean, maybe these will be more like 1000toys’ offerings.

Nah, Hot toys would never let anything as embarrassing as Mezco's Ghostbusters/Jason/ Michael Myers with their burlap sack clothes. The reason HT is only just now doing this is probably because they found a way to make the outfits feasible in the scale without reducing accuracy. Mezco's attempts at movie suits are all off.

The only thing hot toys has going are good cloth and heads, and garage companies are already making comparable heads at at 6" scales. I've gotta be the biggest mark ever for 6" marvel shit and I'm extremely not impressed.

Yeah man, shit's already expensive enough as it is, I don't like the idea of them pricing the shit out of the 1/6 market over the last couple years and then moving to 1/12 once people stopped buying.

Considering Hot Toys has payment plans, it's pretty shows how they're dipping into the same poorfags, except Hot Toy fanboys are willing to go into debt faster.

Miniature lines seem to have the wealthiest consumers. 1:18 scale, toy trains, and headed by /tg/ type fanatics into Warhammer/D&D/etc.
It's fucking nuts how much money people spend on the smaller scale lines.

I say yes, because I'm almost willing to bet that Hot Toy's line will be above what most are currently paying for 1/12 clothed figures. I'm expecting Hot Toys to try for at least $120 for the best looking 1/12s on the market, but with mediocre articulation and minimal accessories.

I think they're both equal in terms of clothing material and quality. Accessories? Mezco.

I've honestly been burned out by them. It was novel and pretty cool for the "realistic" angle, but it gets bland after a while. Since it says initially, hopefully they'll do some more comic-based designs down the line.
