Regardless, I don't remember a single scene where Blackout was next to another transformer to judge scale. In the military base scene, he certainly looked to have been 30 or 40+ feet tall at the head, very hard to believe he was shorter than Optimus. It shouldn't be a shocker if people expect a huge vehicle to make a huge robot, regardless of what the official scale charts say. Even more common sense that Grindor with a vehicle nearly the same size shouldn't be twice the height of Blackout.
