5POA is already dead. As far as 3.75” goes for episode 9 they’re only gonna be doing a handful of Vintage Collection figures mixed in with the figures from other movies. It’s the first Star Wars movie to not have its own dedicated line of figures.

yeah the only thing that can really redeem the sequel trilogy at this point is if Luke comes back from the dead and fights resurrected/clone Palpatine. Anything else will be subpar, I couldn't care less about who Rey's parents are or whatever at this point.

This. Half the time people spout theories that would be debunked if they stopped to think about them for a moment. The TMNT line right now is another example, the only reason they can have their figures at Target is because they're in a different section entirely. I ended up getting a scout trooper, there were two and the other one had black paint smeared on the left shoulder and black paint on the visor. Mine just has a black spot on the chest and a terribly done grey wash on the torso. Thankfully though maul looks near perfect. The face surprisingly was done well.

The original argument is that Lucas apparently owns the rights to OT characters, and Disney made a slight change to the stormtroopers in Rogue One to avoid paying royalties. I'm looking for an example where said tactic- a subtle change to the design, while still being billed as the same character, used in the same context, and even used in the same timeframe and era- is considered legally distinct enough that the new owner of the property doesn't have to pay royalties to the old owner. The closest I can think of is Superman, where different aspects and powers fall under different legal domains, but even then the only reason that's the case is due to the character being developed by numerous people over decades, he wasn't a character wholly owned by one person like Star Wars characters. Even then you have the myth that his New 52 design was done to avoid royalties, which just like this new Lucas theory has never had any actual proof shown. When that theory was floating around copyright experts expressed skepticism that getting rid of Superman's trunks would hold up in court as a "no, this is technically a different character to the one Shuster and Siegel created!"

I got the skiff. Had to improvise a little. One of the skiff guards hasn’t even been made as a figure and the modern Weequays are pricey so I used a POTF2 one I had laying around and another a Nikto as a stand-in. I also only had one shitty looking Return of the Jedi Han laying around that I took the vest off of. It looks really nice and it well detailed I just wish it had pegs on the floor so they don’t end knocking each other over.

Pretty much all the wars stuff is even vanishing from Walmart (along with Cool mega stuff ) One had all of the star wars on clearance except for one multi pack. Another had the figures at a reduced price but all the big stuff gone. (I did pick up another Wampa though despite the Luke it comes with being total shit. )

I walked into Walmart a few weeks ago for the first time in over a year. There was zero Star Wars toys. I honestly was blind sided, then I remembered how bad they were at stocking, the current situation and fan reaction. It just sucks. I pretty much only buy online now, but I do feel sorry for the people who love to " hunt " for toys.
