The fact that every third party Prime mold gets Nemesis variants (and oftentimes Shattered Glass and/or Magnus too) regardless of whether or not Nemesis even exists in that design should tell you that they don't even need an excuse to just do the rest of the Seekers in that mold anyway.

It looks like they just did a slaveish recreation of the G1 character models for the cartoon accuracy autists. From that perspective it actually looks really good IMO, all the modes seem on point.

Can't read moon rune, but is that the date for the figure releases? Or is this some sort of anime tie in?

Really been looking forward to this take on a combiner. But I can't find anywhere to even pre order. Plus, I've only seen a few of the prototypes, and only sketches of the combined mode. Kind of has me a little nervous about whether or not these figures even get released.

These, and big tit Arcee are really the only TF figures I'm looking to add to my collection in the foreseeable future.

i am as well. one thing I've been hoping for for a long time is for 3Ps to produce original material as most of the designers clearly have talent that's constrained by Hasbro IP. I remember Vangelus talking about this along time ago in a review Steelcore.

I wouldn't be surprised if 3P makers are just industry regulars who do it as a side gig for extra dosh. Theres no way so many skilled engineers and sculptors got together just to shart out unbranded Transformers.

It's a new company anon...I'm not really much of 3rd party fag, but in other examples of even bigger companies, toys can take a year or more so to be released after being announced. Patience anon.

It's pretty much impossible, when you talking about real life vehicle designs being done into toys. I mean it's already impossible to fit a helicopter into a car and back and forth.

Honestly, no one has really tried yet but they almost certainly could considering his copter mode is somewhat of a jumble of nothing to begin with.

Most likely by having one vehicle turn itself inside out to turn into the other, in a manner reminiscent to how Peru Kill (or one of the upcoming AoE OPs) transforms itself.
Luckily both Shatter and Dropkick’s robot-modes are largely composed of large chunks of vehicle kibble, meaning there are a lot less robot-mode parts that need to hide inside both vehicle modes and less vehicle kibble to need to fold away in their robot-modes.

I really can't fault them if they want to be in the legends market. Especially if they're going into an untapped part of the market with BW. MP market, while getting maybe a smidge saturated, is just overall a rabbit hole. Though if they did a Bee I think it could be nice, just hopefully not as complex as Prime is.

I admit this is really cool, but every mode looks like it was designed with the other modes taken into consideration. Compare that with the movie triple changers where the two alt-modes share no parts, and huge pieces just magically disappear in robot mode. Are movie triple changers doable? Probably, but I don't see how at least one of the alt-modes wouldn't end up really jacked up looking.

The DLC kit is a lot of fun, but learn from my mistake and do it over a table or similar large flat surface -- the spring in the wing is gonna wanna go once you get the wing unscrewed. What I like the most about it is just how well done the colors are on it. Like >99% of my collection is, I have no attachment to him in either form, but this kit really makes him look good.

Oh I know how quick TCP can be with their shipping, it's one of the reasons I'm relying on them these days (of course the largest reason is TFS is collecting tax now). I only say shipping tomorrow because at this time even if they get it printed and boxed, Post Office won't be likely to have it until tomorrow regardless. That's just what I think.

Redstar Baronscream looks great!

The Beast Wars theme music at the start of the Megatron review had me hyped, but there's something about the figure that just isn't doing it for me. I think it really could have used a little more upper body bulk in robot mode. I do like the way they deformed the lower leg for t-rex mode.

Omne was actually more expensive than Klaatu when I got mine. Klaatu was $90 Canadian while Omne was $110 I believe was. I was checking around and for some reason people prefer Omne still and opened and displayed one sells for as much as an MISB when it was newly released. So I would barely lose anything if I sell mine now.

It really is. I had gotten mine direct from MT for full price...just shortly before they put it on their holiday sale...

Either way, for either one I'd still recommend getting the upgrade kits that MT offers. They're "free" but $6 shipping for each of them, even if you order them together. Cupola's is certainly the more important of the two, but Iron Will's give it the head piece that allows the arms to peg into it.

Some do. For 3p it's those decent ones that pops in once every now and then and pretty much anything Fanstoys. For officials it's the Japanese releases and Japanese G1 that tends to hold their value.

The main qualm I have for the LER line (aside from having to mention that Columpio's hips are hot garbage) is that the hands do the horrendous thing of failing to be useful. The weapon holding just always seems tenuous with them.

Ismenios is really solid, in more ways than one. Just comparing him to Hephaestus there, PX has really developed a way to use heft. It's mostly in his legs, which is really helpful in keeping him planted well. The details he has are all done beautifully, and I find him to be just generally striking. He really is only saddled by one "flaw" so to say; the fact that his arms and his stock wings aren't mirrored pieces. It's not really anything inherently bad, but it might tickle the ol' 'tism if you've got it. The expansion pack wings however you don't have to worry about (and my phone can't begin to do justice for how good they really look on him).

I'm most impressed with how the windshields are swallowed by the torso mass in all three. With movie shit I'm so used to seeing Hasbro and Takara give up and shove the entire top of the car on the back of a figure.

Ismenios is really great. Big solid leader class dude for your CHUG collection or heavy and clean enough for an MP collection. I'm not a fan of IDW stuff but the IDW influence in Ismenios (the wings, headsculpt, and sword) are rather well done for a modern take on Deathsaurus.

Anon who ordered PX Star Saber here. Got him in today and I've tinkered with him a bit. Of course because of his size he's not immediately as heavy as Ismenios is, but he still has heft to him all the same. He's got this nice side-to-side torso action going for him that adds a little bit of dynamic flair. The sad part to him is that he has that same lack of mirrored parts that Ismenios has. As an example, the fins on the side of his head has a little divot on them. For the left side, it faces front, but for the right, it's on the back.

Overall I'm trying to tell myself that this stops at the $140 I spent on him, and I don't have to go $400 more in the hole on Flame Toys.

Free is because the Mainland China MSRPs (if China versions exist) are 30~50% cheaper than International MSRPs, the chinese sellers have no issue absorbing the shipping, they still earn a profit selling at the international price.

Btw RobotKingdom is special in that it's in HK, not the Mainland. They are using international MSRPs there and don't have the cheap chinese shipping, the postal rates are similar to that of Japan.

Got my vortex today. Haven't transformed him but, fair word of warning. The extending rotor blade on mine were tight the box so be careful. I suggest using the small nub under each blade as leverage and pull slowly as its thin plastic. The part on the nose that lets down to plug the gun into is also super tight so I'm going to have to transform it first to loosen it up.

It was Kijiji and it was posted for $250 but I just asked him if he can give it to me for a decent price and dropped it to $210. He still has 1 up for grabs but I don't know if he's still willing to drop the price for that one.

Transformation to bot mode was equally pleasant. Though getting everything lined up correctly in the back for it to tuck into his body was tricky. Overall this is a solid start for MMC combaticons. One final word of caution. The screw on mines head was a tad too tight causing it to pop off the ball joint connected to the body. Loosening it a hair solved the problem.

I jumped on Riot and Furor yesterday. With the way things are looking right now with FT releasing their own Soundwave and Blaster, and MMC releasing Blaster's tapes, I think they'll all look amazing together when its all done.

Ah. So I assume it's not a 360 rotation then? Does it at least offer a close to 180 degree rotation? I'm kind of picturing it working like the trailer hitch of Fanstoys Motormaster which is like a double slider (on each side)
