You see, that sculpted head doesn't have big out of scale stitches on it. Neither do the gloves on the sculpted hands. You can actually sculpt stitches, clasps, and zippers much smaller (and in scale) than the same thing for soft goods. Because of the jarring contrast it just looks off.
The black areas don't look so bad but the red does.
I don't know what it would take to get me to buy say, a "perfect" version of what they already make. They would have to use cloth with a smaller weave, and tremendously finer stitching to actually look correct for the scale.
I see some Hot Toys that achieve this, but they usually have trouble with the properly scaled clasps and zippers, and occasionally stitching, too.
