Personally, my area seems to be overwhelmed by Talos, Grey Gargoyle and the many Carol variants.

Pretty much every Walmart and Target in my area has Wasp figures. One Walmart had 7 Wasps, a Malekith and a Nighthawk. That was it.

The worst part of this is that Wasp and to a lesser extent Malekith and Ant-man were already warming the pegs, and then for some idiotic reason Walmart ordered a shitload more of that wave to promote Endgame rather than order the actual Endgame tie-in wave. It's bonkers.

It wasn't just Walmart. It was also places like Target, Walgreens, Best Buy and even JC Penney. I remember that wave being annoyingly difficult to find for me when it originally came out. Then bam it's everywhere a year later. I even bought a second Thor to use for custom fodder.

The Black Panther wave pegwarmed HARD in my area, especially this shitty character.

For the longest time, there were 3 pegs full of this shit tier nobody. Eventually, they were put in the discount section before disappearing.

I'm in Virginia but I don't think that's what's going on. Actually the poorer Walmarts have a better stock of action figures which makes sense because families can't afford video games. It looks like there's some kind of reset going on because I've seen a few that got the 90's X-Men wave and the puma spider man wave as well. In my area target is easily the worst for stock. It's either captain marvel or wasp. Nothing else

I picked up Cap last week that way. I ordered him later in the afternoon and he wasn't ready until the next day at noon. Just be patient. It sounds like they load the big tower thing to be ready at noon.

In my area, Nakia sold out at a reasonable pace.
It was all the non Black Panther movie figs of that wave that peg warmed.

The 2nd BP wave was scarce in my area, since the stores overloaded on Captain Marvel waves.

I got that Dora Milaje on sale at one of my Walgreens, Killmonger for $14 online from walmart, and Klaue for $16 at a game stop out of town.

Instead of going to pick up your order from the customer service desk it now waits for you in this giant tower. When the order is ready you get an email with a barcode. The tower has a scanner and you just scan the barcode on your phone and the tower poops out your order. It's nifty.

It was, though technically it was a Red Skull BAF based on a recent storyline where he takes part of Xavier's brain and basically turns into Onslaught. The Juggernaut wave came a few months later (I think, pretty sure they were at least in the same year) and that Onslaught head was packed in so anyone who already had the Red Skull BAF could use it to have a traditional Onslaught.

Civil War SHF looked good but that body is too buff for the Black Panther movie look. I'd wait for the MAFEX as far as import BP goes. The only time I've had the problem you describe is with the recent Kingpin wave, where I care about the BAF more than any of the individual figures, and he's popular enough for the buying his individual pieces to be less cost effective than buying those figures I don't care about with the pieces.

Other than that I've always been able to pick and choose, including buying loose figures from exclusive box sets and shit like that.

All of them are like that because they labeled them wrong on the sculpt itself. The biceps should be swapped and from the elbow down, swapping them out will line up the sculpt correctly. With the way Hasbro does the arm pegs, now, it makes things much easier to do as long as you hear everything up.

It would be pretty simple. Just bring a smaller item with you, like another figure, scan it, then place it back in the “to be scanned” side. Take your figures across the scanner at the same time as the other item, and put them in the bag. Tell the machine you’re not bagging it to throw off the weight sensor. Provided an employee isn’t watching you like a hawk, you’re off scott free.

Would I ever try this? Hell no. It’d be really stupid to get detained by security over $60. But it is theoretically possible if you play it safe.

Even with all of his problem I'd recommend the Legends BAF over him. The select is too stiff and upright.
The older Legends figure from the Fearsome Foes pack ain't bad but he's way too small.
There's a few Spider-Man Classics lizard figures that are pretty awful when it comes to articulation but they definitely look the part.

The problem though is that you're exposing yourself to some manchildren, and some of them are pretty needy/entitled when you dont ship your stuff right away. Also using facebook is lame. Yeah, it’s started with wanting the Wendigo BAF, then liking the Guardian figure which led to me wanting the 80th Cap if I found it at my local Walmart, which I did.

Apocalypse and Wendigo are the only BAFs that I purchased the entire wave to make. Man-thing and Caliban, I bought by themselves.

I’ve assembled Lizard, Kingpin, Sandman, Monster Venom, SP//DR, Apocalypse, Caliban, Sauron, and Juggernaut.

I straight up bought Rhino, Hobgoblin, Onslaught, MCU Vulture, and Abomination. Would highly recommend that, takes way less time and the complete figure is almost always cheaper than assembling because there’s always one part that’s super duper rare.

Isn't it usually a better idea to just buy a case if you're interested in even say, half the figures? That way you technically get the BAF for a mere $20, and there's a decent chance you can make back some of your money selling off some of the figures you don't want.

I have found that selling figures you don’t want (that are unpopular characters) is difficult, when you paid $20 per. But selling a BAF piece is easy no matter what. So, if I don’t want all the figures in a case, I’ll never buy a case. I’d rather buy the BAF completed or get the parts I’m missing. I just hate haggling over $8 parts, it takes forever. My Caliban sat unassembled for like a month, and I just wasn’t motivated to hustle to get his legs for cheap.

A. Buy it and scalp it on ebay for 10 bucks profit
B. Buy it but too lazy to scalp it, so it just sits on your collection in box.

This happened to me. My Storm had shipped and I couldn't cancel the pre order. I decided to be a good boy and leave her for the next collector. Mine was delivered a week ago so I did the right thing.

Because I'm impatient as fuck. I do that with literally all my domestic toy purchases. I'll pre order them somewhere to ensure I get them in case I don't find them out in the wild. Then if I do find them before they ship I cancel them. Doesn't everyone do this?

I haven't had a specific need to keep things to a specific property or to specifically finish a team I start, so basically I've just been going in on characters I really wanted. The Thing and Doom are my only FF figures, Beta Ray Bill is my only Thor character, etc.

Did that with Jubilee. The one I preordered had shit eyes on the alt head and the one I bought in store had shit eyes on the regular head. Switched the heads and sold the spare, so someone got a Jubilee with two shit heads.
