Not getting Sentinel's Sahelanthropus when it was down to ~$150 at HLJ

Some Macross stuff, mainly the Bandai DX YF-30

Not jumping on Hot toys Diecast War Machine when it was still under $500+. And a couple Figuarts IM while they were still MSRP(mainly 46/47 and 2)

X-plus Shinjuku landing Godzilla(was holding out for a US diamond reissue)

And a lot of Marvel Legends. I was an import snob for a while and I didn't appreciate them. And while I do now a lot of the ones I want are not worth scalper prices.

A lot of anons have the same regret as me apparently. I regret passing over Marvel Legends for more expensive lines. My life has been so much easier now that I only collect figures of heroes I want and they only cost me 20.

A big regret I have had is not buying every SHF DBZ figure at release or before scalper prices hit. I will never own SSJ3 Goku or the Androids now.

I originally started with cheap figures and then regretted not going more high quality. So I switched over to high quality for awhile but realized I was spending way too much and on my shelf, unless you are posing them all the time, cheaper figures looked nearly as good.

Maybe I will go back to regretting getting cheap but I still get expensive stuff for a single line which I think is the best way to go instead of just splashing big bucks on everything. 1/12 scale to me looks about the same on a shelf.

I was looking around for some boss fodder for my God of War figure display and had bought him for about $50 since he looked cool.
But fucking hell it has extremely loose joints and his feet pop off super easily so you can't pose him dynamically. I still have him but might sell it in the near future.

I won't buy the Hogwarts Castle for the same reason. The regular sets are better even if the castle doesn't look so good.

Now that you mention SAS, I do somewhat regret not going all-in on the line when Mandarake prices were cheap all around. I got the main characters from 1-6(all in a blue), the stands where applicable, and Dio/The World and Yoshikage Kira first/second and Killer Queen. Plus a few other miscellaneous ones like Koichi and Magician's Red. I kinda regret not filling out the Stardust Crusaders or Diamond is Unbreakable crews, but I kept waiting out on things like an Okuyasu reissue.

Made the tough decision to sell a bunch of my childhood toys and sentimental collectibles to get money to visit my "best friend" from high school who was going through a rough time after moving out of state with her family. I didn't have a job at the time since I was focusing on college. As most "best friends" from high school scenario turns out, it turns out my best friend from high school wasn't actually a good friend. During the trip she stole money from my wallet, let her boyfriend trash talk me, and I snooped and found text messages where she admitted that she had no intention of honoring our agreement that she pay back half my travel expenses.

I've been slowly rebuying things over the years but it's not the same, since they aren't my actual childhood toys. What a goddamn idiot I am.

I foolishly gave huge chunk of my childhood to my nieces, mostly good ol' high quality Happy Meal toys and I still somewhat regret it. I wasn't in good relations with that sibling to begin with and those ungrateful brats just mercilessly ruin it.

this fucking garbage thing. I heard the line was bad, but I wanted the Black Manta and Arthur wasn't too much to add on, but while Black Manta's fine everything about this thing is garbage. Can't move the head because I feel a resistance and I'm sure if I applied some pressure the head would crack, some joints are loose, especially the ankles and standing is impossible, and some joints don't move at all. He's packed away for now and I'm sure when I eventually take him out again he'll somehow be broken.

Got Masterpiece Movie Ironhide recently. He is not just bad, he is _shockingly_ bad. If you just want a pretty statue? Sure, he's fine. But nothing in the chest locks in place, so it's all asymmetry and unpleasant-feeling hinges. Worse though, for truck mode, everything is held together by Really Tiny Tabs. This is the worst. I made the same mistake with a large portion of my collection several years ago and spent a while regretting it. Ironically enough, almost immediately after I had shipped most of it out, I came into a decent amount of money and it turned out I really didn't need to sell any of it to begin with

I got hooked on the SH figuarts precure. Its all I collect now since Transformers have become boring compared to the late 80's when I started, 90's & 2000's so I stopped buying them. I'm actually glad I stopped buying TF's, whats the point of a toy if their not fun anymore. I miss the gimmicks being in the mainline & not relegated to a shitty subline. I'd take mechtech back over the boredom inducing Siege.

I regret having spent as much as I did on Marvel Legends and NECA Aliens/Predators. It got to the point where I had a ton of figures of characters I didn’t even care about just because I got them on sale or I was trying to complete a set. Lodar was my favorite of what I was able to get which honestly was most of the no namers because I could never pull the trigger on the main cast when they were going for 100+. They're good toys. I regret investing in a few toylines, like the World of Nintendo ones and Gundam Converge. Not that either are bad, just had a slippery slope effect and its so easy to justify $5 for a figure that you end up having to store away because you didnt care much for it in the first place. Too many impulse buys.

Back when i was 9 in 2005 i had most of the original lego batman sets . the batwing set ( pic above ) / the batmobile set / the batboat set / and the batcycle set. So you know being a stupid kid and having no concept of the future i broke and threw away all of them within like 2 years after getting them. I bought some transformers toy from a guy, the first few times I bought from him was pretty pleasant, he gave me cheap prices and freebies. A few months later he started to be a bit rude when I asked when will I get my stuff, delayed and straight up lying if he had stock of an item. This goddamn thing. I don't even know why I bought it. I don't like Game of Thrones, I don't like Danerys. It was eight bucks in the clearance aisle at Walmart so I grabbed it on impulse.

The head is all derpy, the hands are gnarled witch-claws. She had this red blanket thing hanging off her shoulder that literally just fell off when I took her from the package that left this big red splotch of paint and glue. Her feet keep popping off, she stands leaning slightly to the right.

And that fucking coat thing! It's made of rubber and just kills all posability. She's got articulation under that thing: leg and waist swivels, really good knees, but you literally can't do anything because the rubber gets in the way. She's even got molded titties under there.

I'm seriously considering cutting it off and trying to salvage her somehow.

Same here, buddy. A couple of moths ago I started selling figures I had but really didn't want.Bunch of figmas, legends and neca. But one day I saw at a local hot toys facebook group a brand new Raiden from MGR at a quarter of BBTS price that I had to buy it. Now I'm a 1/6th groupie.
