That said, I prefer to be proactive, and not reactive: instead of flipping out and infecting a customer's items with parasites and animal excrement, tell the person up front before they have paid what to expect. 3 days before shipping, no tracking, whatever it is that you plan on doing. Tell them.
If you don't, you are just as responsible for what happens afterwards as they are.
If you do, and they still act like faggots, well you can always forward the message back to them as a reminder, ask them if they had trouble reading it, act snarky as fuck here, and suggest they pay you even more for expedited service. And quote them a price that is double what they already paid.
Or anything else really, but doing what you did is pathetic. You come off as a passive aggressive douche canoe, and you really have no one to blame but yourself.
