Description of the non-D23 exclusive Disney Masquerade dolls from someone who has seen them.

Meg: Literally looks exactly like the art. Her hair and face is spot on. Disappointed in her dress. The patterns on her skirt are printed on with rhinestones. Her mask is entirely gold chrome.

Esmeralda: subtle differences from the art. She's missing her crown; Her necklace is a gold chain/not a choker; She's missing most of the chains/beads around her waist. Her top has a gold pattern printed around her waist. She’s also missing the bangles along the edge of her middle layer. Other than that, she's just like the art. Her face is okay to me, reminds me of a teal eyed Pocahontas. Her mask is gold chrome with two red ribbons.

Belle: Haha Belle left me shook. I'll start with her hair. Her hair isn't in an updo, it's styled like the classic doll. Her top is all black, one sleeve is a normal gold sleeve and the other is a giant chrome gold plastic rose. She has black gloves. Her skirt is pretty much the art, lots of embroidery and rhinestones around the giant rose. Her mask is gold chrome with red ribbons.

Cinderella: Her hair looks like how the premiere doll should've looked last year. Her dress is the same silvery blue as the saks doll with similar form and embroidery. Her bow is much smaller than it appears in the art, lots of rhinestones and embroidery on that. The inside of the bow is covered in blue sequins. Her mask is chrome silver with blue ribbons.

Rapunzel: Hahahaha no words to describe her other than "napkin yule ball dress." A great comparison would be a dollar store knockoff of Hermione’s Yule ball dress. I guarantee nobody will want her. Her top is plain with the flower neckline and her basic sleeves. Her skirt has little embroidery, it has layers that are folded and literally look like - you guessed it - pink and purple napkins. Nothing in her hair, it's just down. Her mask is chrome gold with gold beads.

This is also why we can't have any new Slave Princess Leia dolls, or Jessica Rabbit dolls, or Kida from Atlantis, dolls.
It's also the same reason Disney Store always gave the classic dolls flats for shoes, and have now this year given them flat feet. It's also the reason why the Hasbro Princess Jasmine isn't allowed to show her belly. It's also the reason why the Disney park Princess Jasmine isn't allowed to show her belly anymore, but lets not get into that one.

They were cool dolls from a time when it was ok for dolls to wear reveling tummy outfits. It's probably a mix of nostalgia, and wanting something which can't be found today. I remember when they started to give Monster High dolls longer dresses because parent groups started to bitch about how the dolls butt would hang out of the dress when the doll would bend over. The whole point of those dolls was that they were sassy, unique, and could "Be themselves"

With Ariel they are still testing the waters, but Jasmin's new outfit is not a winter or seasonal outfit. It's her new permanent outfit. It upset a few people and pleased a bunch of feminist groups when it happened. You can google it to find news stories about it which of course celebrate the progressive change.

You make it sound like only guys can be gross or sleezy.
Ask any cast member, and they'll tell you that single mothers are way worse than guys. Occasionally you'll get some guy who tries to "flirt" with a princess but that's usually young guys trying to put on a show for friends. But middle aged women will straight up grope male characters, grabbing ass, groping pecs etc. Really bad in areas where alcohol is served.

This lady would go to the park every other fucking day to stock and record the same actor who played Gaston for hours, and started a Youtube channel dedicated to him.

Shes not even a major Gaston fan. Shes after the guy who plays him. It's even gone to the point were she follows the same male actor wherever he goes even when hes not playing Gaston. He got assigned to play Prince Eric once, and her creepy ass followed and recorded him there as well.

Please get off your high horse.This is no excuse to change the Disney park Jasmine outfit or the parks doll. Male cast members who play Jack sparrow, Tarzan, Peter Pan, and Gaston report getting creeped on by women on a daily basis. There was this one store told by a male cast member who used to play Jack were he said that a woman would pinch his ass and give him her hotel room number every day for about a month.

My point is that this shit goes both ways. Male cast members are victims of female creepers as well, but you don't see them making such a drastic big deal about it.

I know. I believe they even have their own YouTube channel. Yet, somehow I always thought the Hatter would end up with Alice seeing that there's a pretty big fan base on Youtube, and deviantART that dates back to 2007 that has been pairing them together as a couple for some reason.
I don't really get it myself, but it is a thing.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it all started in 2007 with a video called "Not going to kiss the girl" Where the Hatter is asked to kiss Alice during a boat ride.

The thing is, nips have something between L~R sound instead of the regular L and R. Though usually in most cases it's translated as R, Licca is more known with L.

Pretty dress. Very pretty dress actually, but as much I want a new Esmeralda doll in my collection I'm not feeling this one. I really don't like that jaded facial expression they gave her, and that's whats really killing it for me.

The funny thing is that these $120 dolls will probably sell out just like they did last year. It gets pretty pricy if you get them all, and they don't release them every other week any more. This isn't true at all. The only time an ID is asked for is if the doll is extremely popular and they need to do a raffle system and they only ask for IDs so people don't enter more than once.

Wrong. All Disney Store cast members have to follow the rules and ask for IDs even if they have 18 doll sets and only 4 people show up which was the case when I showed up one morning to buy the Ariel/Triton designer set. I asked the store general manager why I had to show ID if there were only four people in line and they had over 10 dolls behind the counter and she said that it didn't matter. She said she received an email from corporate that morning that said that they had to check IDs just to buy the doll. They also scanned my flipping ID at the register before letting me buy it.

Obviously a random parent walking by the Disney Store isn't going to buy one for their kid unless they're rich and don't care, but it's not unusual for parents to buy their kids collector dolls. You should see how bad it is where I live. All the blonde 2019 Christmas Holiday Barbies are already sold out at Target, but of course they left behind all the black Holiday Barbies on the shelf. Last year all the black Holiday Barbies were put in the clearance section at Walmart after Christmas. There were like 3 rows of them. I looked through each row in hopes of finding a normal Blonde version as they were dropped to just $5, but I had no luck. It was just a never ending sea of black dolls. Why do they make so many of them if they don't sell well? Mattel should ship out one black doll inside of each box of normal barbie dolls. Since Mattel makes the blonde Barbies so tanned aka brown you can no longer get a pale white doll by simply buying a blonde Barbie doll anymore. We have sadly reached the point where if you want a doll with legit white skin you have to buy the Asian doll, and throw away her head if you wanna donate her MtM body to an actual white doll. Mattel did a limited release of the Asian MtM doll, and every one started buying her up for head swaps, and now shes rare, hard to find, and collectors who want a legit white MtM body have to hunt her down any pay the price.

Notice how the only Snow White doll with actual white skin is the doll in the middle which was sold exclusively in Japan. All Snow White dolls sold everywhere else have a slight tan to them that they shouldn't really have. You can't even get a legit white Snow White doll anymore.

I can tell by the packaging what it is. It's going to be a heavy, pricy and easily breakable resin doll like the $169.95 25th Anniversary Jack and Sally Limited Edition dolls. I bought the LE Sally because shes been on my doll bucket list for over 15 years now. I put off by the price but was super hyped that she looked more like the character than any other past doll, and that she came with 3 different faces. The moment they handed her to me I knew something was wrong. The box was so heavy that I could no longer walk around the mall with it. It was like dragging a small boulder. Got home and realized the doll was as heavy as a brick because she was resin. Seeing that they are raising the price of all the LE dolls I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up costing more than $169.95.

that didn't even speak the same language for a while, and the people have only been connected by the media until very recently. That's why Mexican threads are mostly about old mundane tv shows like "El Chavo del Ocho." El Chavo is a tv show created by, and staring a Jewish man named Chespirito who can speak spanish.

The Mexican movies you mostly see are funded by their government, and go thru a check list of Mexican iconography that they must have in order to get funded so that's why "Dia de los Muertos" shows up a lot.

They filed a trademark for the name in the context of merchandising, as they intended to use the (then) name of the film for toys, shirts, and other merchandise branding. They were hoping no one would notice or care... except in this case it was a bone-headed move, no pun intended, due to the massive cultural significance of the holiday causing people to notice.

It's just like how Disney filed a trademark for Princess Aurora in the context of Sleeping Beauty toys, jewelry and shirts, even though they didn't come up with Princess Aurora. Although I think they may have gotten away with the trademark, nonsensical though it is.

Anon, you literally can't tell when an image photographed from a screen and with an added Instagram filter on top would create an extreme form of contrast to the base photo. The factory head is taken in natural lighting while you're comparing it to an image that's been through multiple layers of compressed and filters and you're just looking to be offended by a doll you won't even get.

Why do they always do this? Why give a pale skin character a tan, and why bring back that shiny skin that used to be a thing back in 2015, that everyone hatted ? I remember people complaining that it made the dolls look sweaty, and greasy, and I'd have to agree with them. Is that a generic crown on her head? Shes not even in her wedding dress, why give her a generic crown?

I'm not really feeling that modernized bodice. That cluster fuck of rhinestones, Why? Someone needs to take away that designers rhinestone supply. It's giving me LE Cinderella vibes, and I hate it. They should have gone with something more traditional and classy like the corset she wore in the film. The sequence striped dress is just a step above giving the dress a cheap playline looking glitter pattern. It would have been better if they had given the dress some embroidered designs instead. At least they gave her a cape, but you can barely see it from the front since it just kinda blends into the dress. I like her smirk even it the face does look a little too cartoony. Thanks for sharing these.

If you swap which frame is compared to each photo they match fairly close. So I don't understand what the logic is here. Also she has a glossy purple/iradescent finish it appears - so expecting it to match a flat color exactly is just stupid.

Ding ding ding. And that's the problem. They should have left that shiny skin gimmick back in 2015 where in belonged. Why give doll collectors a shiny iradencent finish when they have told you repeatedly they hate it. Same thing goes for the cluster fuck of rhinestones on the bodice.
