No shit I get that, but when they choose to go the extra seems random (ignoring someone like Spider-Man). It could be something about the overall budget per wave or per year, something more complicated like that.

Huh? it's about the same build/size as any other standard male buck. Definitely not meant to be used for slimmer characters. I do think they messed up how the chest musculature sculpt meets the butterfly joints and gives the illusion of a smaller build. But I doubt they give a fuck about it.

I could definitely go for another one, but I really don't like how he resculpted the lower mouth. Every close shot of it makes look weirdly smooth, like it's he got punched in the chin and it's swelling. Thinking of trying to sell them at bulk at my LCS but if that doesnt work ill have to set up an ebay account. Dont have the packaging but besides that theyre brand new and if any come with parts they have them so theyre all complete. Will probably keep guardian and x force wolverine though, mostly because guardians canadian color scheme amuses me alot.

As a comic reader I dont understand how this costume got so popular. Emma was wearing the Hellfire Club corset for less than 12 issues in the 80's. She turned face in the 90s and has had more reigns in tight white pants. Personally I'd rather have the white pants + corset costume, or Massachussetts academy headmistress costume so I can put her in my X-Men display. She'll look out of place in her 1st appearance outfit because we don't have any 80s hellfire characters to go with her, whether it's the goons, Sebastian Shaw, Donald Pierce or Mastermind. Just to add, the White Queen costume is never depicted as sexy megathot. In the 80s the drawings were more conservative than the early 90s. Emma was always depicted as kind of ugly pornstar with one too many botox implants, befitting of a villain.
By the time the raunchy 90s art become popular, Emma already turned good. So you can only find 2-3 one off drawings by Jim Lee depicting Emma in her hellfire costume.

I guess I mean Emma was not as popular of a character back then. She was a villain of the week C list at best, with botox face and bunch of buttcheek masked Helfire goons.
Emma got lifted out of C-list character tier when she turned good, had affair with Cyclops, become headmistress of friendly but rival X-Men academy etc, but that was past the time when she was wearing the corset and underwear.

Just as comparison, Rogue also started as C list villain. Nobody cared about her villain look (pic related). People care about Jim Lee Rogue, because that's the era when she was popular character. People care about Emma, but don't care about the costume that corresponds to her popularity. They look back and for some reason or another came to a collective consensus that her 1st appearance look is her iconic look.

There was the 2 pack with Valkyrie back in 2010 with the "Ed McGuiness" Hulk but if I remember that was hard to find at TRU

Then there was a 2015 one in a Target Exclusive 3 pack with White Vision and Acne Ultron, but that was on an MCU Hulk buck with a clean haircut, not your typical "Go To Hulk"

Here's hoping folks can get it tomorrow that really want it!

Hasbro could easily pop out a batch of hellfire goons on the putty bodies they've been using for their power rangers line. I just hope they wouldn't gimp articulation or plastic quality to do so. The AIM and Hydra packs were ruined because of it.

Well personally I've always prefered the hellfire mooks looking like normal people in full bodied suits. Im not a fat of the buff grunts that Hasbro has been popping out. I much prefer comic accurate lanky cannon fodder. Plus those putty bodies are just great.

Unless a new Sony/Marvel deal is made that folds Venom and their other movies into the MCU, I wouldn't hold your breath for this. At best we might get a few related characters in the standard Spider-Man waves, like we did for the most recent X-Men movies. I definitely wouldn't expect another Venom Wave situation.

I used to focus heavily on MCU figures. For me, it was mostly to try and set an attainable goal for my completionist tendencies, but it was also an easy way to make a display that was guaranteed to be visually consistent. There's a lot of different comic versions that get made from all eras, but there's only MCU. That fell apart somewhere around Civil War for me though, I just couldn't keep up

Ordered a Mr. Fantastic on eBay a week ago and got him in today, so my Fantastic Four is finally complete. Can't wait for DOOM.

Posing Reed with just stretched out arms is weird looking, though, so I kind of just have him standing in the display, which is disappointing with everyone else in an action pose.

Finally got this guy in today. Aesthetically, he's fucking perfect, 10/10 sculpt, by far the best Spidey Bandai has ever done. The joints are another story. A lot of them aren't very fun, like the ankles and shoulders are really creaky, and the butterflies are loose. Wish the elbows had more range, and this guy SORELY needs the fighting body knee and elbow swivels (or at least a damn bicep swivel!). That said, his ab crunch and neck are very well done. Perfect Spidey for my display, but my hunt for one that feels amazing to constantly repose goes on.

Agreed, mostly. I think the lack of elbow/bicep rotation means I'm never going to actually like it, but that aside it's a really nice sculpt and they finally nailed the proportions. The annoying thing is PS4 spidey was one of my most hyped releases, and knowing his arm engineering is mostly the same is kind of killing that enthusiasm.

Some shock oil fixed the shoulders, but I can't even begin to get the butterflies off to try to tighten them. They feel loose, but at the same time they're not coming out.
