OP, just put some glue on the peg, Elmer's preferably, do a layer or two and make sure it dries, or gets dry enough, that you can then pop it back in the hole. The glue ought to give enough friction to keep it in place. Can't say I ran into this issue on mine, but that'll probably get you set up.
