>>7739429Most of the time I buy Marvel Legends I have to expect that the paint's going to be fucked up somewhere on the figure. Just in recent weeks I bought two different Colossus and Juggernaut two-packs, because the first Colossus I didn't realize had one eye painted on wrong making him look like Popeye, and a white spot of paint on his back that wouldn't come off and when I fucked with it left a black dot in the middle of the spot. I picked up second set, and the new figure is great for the most part, except he has fucked up paint on his belt. I'm considering seeing if I can take his legs off and swap belts just to have a good figure. I had a similar situation also with Gambit and Jubilee. Gambit's fingers have sloppy often unpainted sections that expose black plastic on them. I didn't realize that until I got mine and then started eyeballing the figures in the store during each toy hunt, and seeing how shitty all of them were, until I found the least shitty one that I could live with, and picked up just for a stupid hand. Jubilee had a giant streak of blue on her forearm when I got her out of the package, also causing me to buy another to get one without a bad arm so I could swap it or find a relatively perfect version in the wild.
There were other such problems I had, such as hunting through the 80th Thor's trying to find one without fucked up paint apps on his chest, which all of them had fucked up paint apps to some degree. I also kept seeing the Retro wave Cyclops in the wild with bad paint apps on the white parts of his figure. The figure has such little paint to begin with and they can't get the one color that's on it right?
Aside from paint apps you also have to expect fuck ups like them ruining every single 80th Iron Man, by mislabeling the biceps on the inside of the peg, mixing up which one was supposed to be "left" and "right," so all of them have their arms on wrong..
