>>7752081It's just more of the same tired shit that only Tolkien pulled off well.
Why not make their lore less derivative?
I like the Quintessons as post-humanists that ended up straying from their original nature so far that they are barely any different from their own creations, I like Cybertron as a factory planet that is mystical to the transformers despite just being a giant factory because it literally created them, I like the Primes being legends because of their feats and not because some light being gave them the correct specs, I like them being able to get all kinds of weird upgrades with ease because it makes more toys.
It's all more toyetic even; the toy makers and writers that put themselves into the toys despite not caring all that much, the change in toyline names after becoming transformers, the goofy worship of the brand, the toys you end up valuing the most becoming a leader, all the different versions you could get to replace the ones you broke or lost in battle.
It's like poetry.
The idea that they are robots that earned their independence and the ways in which their lives compare in value and nature to us is more unique and interesting than them just being humans with planes stuck to their backs with some fantasy copypasta standing far in the background.
