>>7759938Soundwave's the best of the first wave of Transformers. Super articulate, killer app gimmick, and a cool alt mode. BUT if you can also get a reissue of him at Walmart for $50 so you can probably get him cheaper there, especially since original release Soundwave can go for $100 and up complete. Same with Rumble and Frenzy (though they cost $20, they also come with Laserbeak and Ravage).
Megatron's an ugly figure that is like Ratchet/Ironhide, he barely resembles the version of character in comics/cartoons at the time. But because of his gun alt form, he'll never get re-issued in the US. So if you want him, used is the only way you'll ever get him. And trust me from experience, G1 Megatrons tend to go really fast whenever they are for sale due to the fact that he's never going to get an official release.
The Seekers are pretty shitty. Too much kibble. Zero articulation save for the arms being able to move up and down. Shitty jet mode. But they are all basically the same (hell, the only Seeker mold that is any different is Ramjet) so if you want one, I would leave it up to you depending on which of the three you like.
As for the Autobot cars:
Ratchet/Ironhide have a freakish headless mold from where, in Diaclone, they were basically battle suits piloted by humans. Interesting design though; if you had to buy one, I'd get Ratchet because Ratchet has always been cooler than Ironhide character-wise.
Bluestreak and Prowl are the same mold; if I had to buy one, I'd get Bluestreak because his car design is cooler.
Sunstreaker/Hound/Mirage/Wheeljack are a mix bag (especially with their crappy articulation) but have a cool robot element design to them and highly detailed vehicle molds. Also, they can never be reissued due to the molds being lost. If you can get any of them cheap, I'd say go for it.
Sideswipe is ok but the G2 black repaint is way cooler and a full on meme given the G2 comic portraying him as a gun nut.
