OH WOW IMPORT TOYS IN MY TARGET
>All DBZ shit.>all cheap-ass low tier gundam shit>no gunpla>no figma>no amazing yamaguchi (which would honestly sell desu because hurdur marvel)>no good bandai itemsGive it 6 months, all the shit will be gone and the stores won't get any more import shit because they will say it doesn't sell well when all they stocked was garbage to start with. That's what's happening with Best-Buy's and the nintendo sections in Targets. No one want's to buy a $60 nendoroid of Mario or
D.Va - those IPs are heavily geared towards westerners who will only buy trash tier toys. If they stocked more niche anime items and IPs that these companies make people will buy them (even at a slight upcharge) because it's more convenient than dealing with importing and those fan bases are used to paying more money for better quality items.
Nendoroids are fine and all, as are figma, but marketing these things to Marvel Legends tier fans won't get sales at all. Look at the blizzard forums talking about overwatch nendos and figma, all they do is whine that they are way too expensive when they can buy a cheap gummy sculpt figure instead - that's why Figma Genji was clearanced for $20 in the US but in Japan is sold out everywhere and has an aftermarket price on Amazon Japan of like $120. The western market just won't work for these items - especially when catering to fanbases that won't spend it. Now throw like the Figma Deku on the shelves? That will sell out in Target in a week or less.
If target wants this stuff to be successful they need to market to more than DBZ and lazy gundam fans.
