For example, I liked the G1 cartoon origin for the transformers, it kind of reminds me of Animatrix; but most of the fandom prefers Primus, as retarded an idea it is, and I doubt I can convince people that Primus is a stupid idea. The same people that want them to be aliens but doesn't want them to look alien.
If they are aliens made by magical occurring machines, only the movieverse aesthetic follows but that interpretation makes no mention of Primus.
TL;DR, the lore is fucked, better to ignore.

I liked the G1 cartoon, Animated, the japanese continuity, most of the Unicron trilogy, the Legends comics, the movies, and all of the beast era; but I know they aren't of good quality for the most part.
