How do you store your action figure boxes? Any nightmare pictures? Did you need to buy private storage? Do you risk an avalanche every time you open your closet door?

In the last few years I’ve made a rule that I can’t collect any more then what I can store in these 6 boxes. After spending quit a few years selling off things slowly I’ve got it down to the bare minimum and only things I really like.

Currently I have most of mine stuck away inside a spare closet. When that starts to get full I'll pack them away in a larger box and move them over to my storage container in my garage.

I just store my boxes on any shelves that are too high for everyday use. I'm 5'0, so that's a lot of them.

I have way too many and they're overfilling out of the closet. Thinking of throwing out most of the packaging at this point and just keeping it for the most expensive and fragile toys like Soul of Chogokins, though I'm really not sure how much space it will save.

At this point I'm just saving them in case I sell anything in the future. My desire to actually save boxes has all but vanished, except for maybe in some very special cases where the packaging was clearly labored over.

I only keep the packaging of my import toys. And that's mainly for resale plus a safe way to transport them for moves. I moved once with my collection. I stored MLs and other domestic toys in a big box, individually wrapped in tissue paper. They were all fine. My imports were all packed away safely in their original boxes. I collect DBZ SHFs and store accessories in tackle boxes for ease of access, so I only repacked the figure and any large accessories that don't fit in the tackle boxes. There are select few domestic boxes I keep, but I only keep them of I like the box art or they have some cool gimmick.

I pay $20 to store my containers in my friends big storage unit in one corner. He doesn’t use all of the space so its win-win. I keep one container at home for my rare ones.

I moved out of state so the bulk of my collection is in a temperature controlled storage unit. I wrap loose figures in white tissue paper and stack them inside plastic bins.

I do the same but I have a lot of imports. Mostly robot spirits, The boxes on a lot of them are huge and its just getting out of control.

If you care about the resale value of your toys, you probably don't even care about them either.

Throw that shit away, buy proper boxes to store your stuff in and you won't have to worry about space for decades. Buy smaller containers is probably the easiest way to organize your toys and they can fit almost everywhere too.

Finally convinced myself to start throwing out the import boxes today. Got rid of about 20 boxes because that's all that will fit in my trashcan. Felt cathartic but I can't say I notice much of a difference with space yet, long way to go.
