Managed to snag him last night. Went to 1 gamestop they said they just had 2 and they both went right away when they came in 2/3 days ago. Guy was able to look up where they had stock and found 2 stores for me both with 2 in stock about 30mins away. 1st said it was an error and both had sold. 2nd 1 was pre ordered already but had the 2nd so I drove over there.

Seems like every gamestop is only getting 2, and if thats the only shipment seems like this will be huge scalper bait. So if you want him dont sleep call up your gamestops and ask for it and see if they can check local inventory for it. Good luck.

Got mine. Totally scalper bait. My local Gamestop said someone came in and bought the 3 they had. Had to drive 25 mins out to get one they put on hold at a different store.

Also of note. He said that there are some ML figure that never were given release dates and are just expect to randomly show up as a surprise so this might not be the last time we get a surprise release.

No idea. Doesn't help that they used one of the shittiest War Machine molds for it, too. If it came with an alternate skull painted helmet, or even an unmasked head, I'd consider it just for the novelty. But as it is now, it's a hard pass.

It's kinda like the Boba Fett effect. A lot of people don't care about the story at all, they care about "whoa, the Punisher skull on War Machine? AWESOME!" It's just such an easy target, like if you put the Venom symbiote on Iron Man or some shit. It'll bring all the edgy kids flocking, believe you me.

It looks fucking stupid anyway. The way the skull graphic maps over the helmet somehow simultaneously makes him look like he has a tiny face and a lantern jaw. They should have just left the normal War Machine helmet, the facepaint isn't even The Punisher's most iconic look.

Confirmed Deadpool vintage cardback. It’s the same as the 90’s one from the Sasquatch wave, but he comes with guns and it looks like some bands on his legs. Plus different paint apps on the swords I believe.

Aside from the big 3 (super skrull, annihilus, dragonman) what FF regulars do you want to see in figure form? With grey shulkie on her way out its safe to assume we'll eventually get an FF suited version. Bagman and FF Spidey seem like no brainers. The few names that Id like to see are the wizard along with the rest of the frightful four, kang, silver savage, and classic blastarr. In terms of bafs, galactus or lockjaw would be great.

To answer your question, I could see Kang, maybe Immortus, and obviously we need Annihilus, Mole Man, Dragon man, Lockjaw, and Galactus. I guess the more obscure stuff could include more classic inhumans, the rest of the frightful four (I could really go for Sandman’s frightful four costume, and wizard and trapster of course), and maybe some of the Future Foundation? I wouldn’t complain about getting Medusa, Scott Lang, Shulk and Darla (?) in their FF uniforms. Maybe we could get an Awesome Andy.

Marvel has gotten looser on who can be released under what banner. They used to be very strict. Not allowing some characters to be branded as "avengers" but the hasbro guys have said explicitly marvel will let them do things like Bishop in the Deadpool wave or Enchantress in Dr.Strange. They do not need release Kang under FF banner to get the figure out. They used to be really on them about what is allowed to be called a GotG or in a Spider-man wave and so on. They keep branching off with stuff, like Venom or the various movies.

If they're interested in doing the figure they look at their own line up and see where it fits for their release and so on and then talk to marvel about it. Marvel would likely not like to see Kang in a Spider-man wave, but they're being much more flexible.

It's alright. Not horrible, not fantastic. Middle of the road really. I think the best Spidey bodies Hasbro has got right now are their teen body (used on Miles and Ultimate Spidey) and their 2099 body (first used on the black/white/red Spidey 2099, and then for others like the 2nd Kaine Scarlet Spider). So for the best poseability, I'd seek out a Spidey on one of those bodies. In fact, if you just want it as a standalone and don't need it to scale with anything else, I would definitely say go with Ultimate Spidey (pic related). He's a little short since he's a teenager, but you can't tell if he's not next to anyone else, and his costume looks classic enough.

Anyway, I would avoid Pizza Spidey. The body poses alright, but looks-wise, it fucking sucks. The musculature is really bizarrely sculpted, especially in the shin and abdominal area, and he has some very strange proportions (overly long and hyper-thin torso with gangly limbs). I got it for retail price and still wasn't happy with it, I would be a little pissed if I'd paid scalper prices for it.

He’s the BAF for the Deadpool wave. Age of Apocalyse wave doesn’t have a confirmed BAF yet.
I make the checklist, so I feel responsible for the confusion. But they said at SDCC that he wasn’t the BAF for Age of Apocalypse. I just didn’t find out until after o was done with the list, and SDCC’s list takes forever so I wasn’t pumped to go back and fix it. I’m making a new one today for all the new stuff so it’ll be fixed.

I hope so! I’d be okay with them just retooling it to match his AoA outfit. I’ve said this previously, but I’m hoping they do that, and retool the head to be frowning instead of grimacing. Another Apocalypse would reduce the aftermarket for the recent one, and people could buy the head for the new one and stick it on their old one. It’s a win win for everyone.
But there’s also a chance it’s Holocaust. Or a non-AoA character. But Apocalypse seems like the obvious choice.

Then popped into Target and stumbled across Rescue and Beta Ray Bill. I was about to pay full price, but all their in-store signs kept saying “look at Circle on the Target App!” So I opened the app, scanned the barcodes and got Rescue for $15.49 and BRB for $13.99–their online prices.
Also found Nightcrawler at Walgreens, and had some points to redeem. Made my week.

I'm definitely eager to see the rest of Strong Guy's wave revealed, Sunspot and Warpath are a good start and I'm hoping it'll be like Caliban and Wendigo where they're easy to complete because I already want almost everyone in their wave.

Although it reminds me that between them and the Juggs/Colossus twopack, I've definitely been getting a lot of Big Guy figures lately.

Jim Lee Cyke was the only time he ever looked good. I mean, shit, look at him even in that post you're quoting, Jim Lee Cyke is fucking hot. My strategy for figures I actually want is to check around about a month after everyone on /toy/ and Facebook have been flipping out over scalper prices. That’s usually about the time the Walgreens and Targets in my area get restocks.

Not a big fan of either desu. The skirt was too hard, and the arms are really ratchety. Plus the wings prevent some articulation, as does the hood. Just would’ve really benefitted from some softer plastic.
