>>7802795>but why the fuck would you do the new movie thats not only going to bomb, but also has no existing fans? How can you even BE on a toy board if you don't know how this shit works?? "Marketing Synergy" is a thing that all companies get wet for.
I would hands down buy BOTH the classic TV series versions and the 90's movie versions. BUT likeness rights were NEVER obtained for the TV version (and even the voice actors won't agree to let that Scooby Doo guest star episode get released!), and I'm guessing the Movie series went a similar route since we never got toys off it, probably Final Approval on sculpts and high-cost likeness rights.
Sad. These look neat. I LOVE Retro 5poa and am looking forward to the upcoming Mezcos (Especially Batman 1966 and the Fleischer Superman Cartoon figures!). But Animated stuff is very hit or miss for me. I can't display these next to my Super7 Universal Monsters, Nosferatu, etc, they just look too damn cartoony (especially the kids!)
Probably going to have to pass on these, sadly.
