With a DVD, the main component of the product is not seen physically at first glance - It's a video, that doesn't play until placed in a DVD player connected to a monitor.
With figures, the main component of the product is the figure itself, which is physically seen simply by displaying the figure out in the open. So you can display a figure and then see the figure - you can't display a DVD case and then see the movie that belongs to it.
Not to mention, posing a figure is just as much interactivity as watching a movie. Just because someone poses/displays, doesn't mean they aren't using their figure. They just don't shout "pew pew" like a freak, lol.
Extremely simple logic. Imagine if someone needed this explained to them?
