Due to the recent McFarlane doom slayer figure, What would be your thoughts on a potential Classic Doom figure line? How would you like it to be done? Personally I'd love a 6 inch line that does a BAF that's Cyberdemon with the Spider Mastermind being an exclusive somewhere. First time posting here so apologies if I am a bit clunky in my formatting

Honestly, Neca. I know I know, but man I do love how they do their America IPs.

I hate the MF Doomslayer, not the execution, more the design and the scale.

Mezco doing it in mixed media would be a dream, but their fucking mezflair would get in the way.

Also, a bit out of the box; some glyos artist doing them, 5POA, removable helmet and tons of weapons, as well as all the demons.

Same goes for all my other options.

What's absolutely necessary to me is that the line includes the comic book Doom Guy and that his figure comes with swappable faces for his silly expressions.
And that it comes with a Chainsaw and this here shotgun.
And that it says lines from the comic if you press a button on it's back.
And that those lines are spoken by Bruce Campbell

A few possible ideas for Doomguy's accessories:
Chainsaw
Guns
Interchangable faces for all of his expressions at all damage levels
Storage piece for the other guns and faces that looks like the original HUD.
Stand so you can recreate the cover like in OP's pic

Nah Helmet is Fixed you can never remove it.
He has Transparent Visor on his helmet to see his face and by squishing it down you can toggle it.
Has Flip around abs so you can have torn shirt or not.

5" figures in the style of Toybiz and Kenner superhero action figures of the 90s. You could give some of the monsters spring-loaded gimmicks, for example the Imp could have a spring-loaded arm for either slash or launching a fireball accessory.

I would want a karate fighter styled doomguy with a fliphead GoPro slot, so you can film him using weapons in first person, and the buttons on the handle perform a gin recoil or chainsaw swipe depending on the button pressed.

NECA said they tried for Doom 3, but if I remember correctly the license wasn't available for some reason. Don't know why they didn't go for Doom 2016.

Just got Doom Slayer. He's fucking bad ass. Big and beefy. This fucker has shelf presence. Sculpt detail is amazing. Paint is good. It's not as flat as the photos look. It's got silver and rust colored dry brushing. Looks really nice. Only negative is articulation of the upper body/arms. He can't hold a gun two handed. I hope they make some demons. It'd be a waste of the license and demons are totally McFarlane's thing. Of coarse can't forget classic Doomguy.

I'm just waiting for the bronze recolor to release. I'm hoping the final version doesn't have the horridly thick looking paint of the other one. I prefer the classic green, but it'll be worth it if the paint is significantly better.

The paint is really not thick at all. None of the small details are covered up and it has a ton. The paintjob looks damn fine for a $20 figure.

Actually now that I've seen some more videos of it, the paint doesn't look that bad. I'm still digging the more armored look of the bronze though. Tough call.

Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind need to be huge even if not exactly full scale.
1/18th scale would actually work really well for army building and the bigger demons.

Articulation with good range (butterfly joint, swivel bicep) so Doomguy and Zombiemen can comfortably hold and pose aiming weapons two-handed!
Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind need to be huge even if not exactly full scale.
1:18th scale would actually work really well for army building and the bigger demons.
