buyee unless it is from a seller that bans bidding agencies or something they refuse to ship

i've used rinkya and white rabbit for those, generally the less popular a proxy is the less likely the seller will cancel your bid if they don't wanna sell to an agency.

Some sellers don’t like proxies and will cancel your bid if they recognize you are using one. They normally write it in the auction description.

My experience with the one time I used fromjapan is that their pricing is less confusing. They bundle all the fees up into 2~3 schemes that makes the calculation easier. I got what I wanted very close to the price their calculator quoted. Then again that was 2~3 years ago and they seem to keep changing their policies.

Used to use Buyee but switched to Zenmarket for the cheaper fees. Only minor issue I have with ZM is that you need to deposit the money into your account first before you can bid where as with Buyee it's linked directly to your PayPal, so you can bid the same as like eBay. The search engine is also a lot more concise and direct on Buyee than ZM, so I usually just end up using Buyee for searching for items and then copying the URL into ZM when buying.

Zenmarket sucks for buying multiple items. A seller had a ton of items I wanted for cheap but Zenmarket would have charged for $3 for each item making it pointless.

Last I used buyee they couldn't guarantee you consolidated shipping if you bought multiple things from one seller, so I'd still use ZM.

That's the biggest problem with Zenmarket for me. Like, I'd rather not outright transfer 500 bucks just in case an auction goes that high and end up not spending it. I would want the remainder back right away

That's pretty much how I've used them since I only tend to bid on items I know I want or directly searched for in the first place without wandering to check what else the seller has.

Because Buyee already has a similar enough layout with everything translated and searching for items in Japanese still works the same. They're also shilled pretty hard on YJA's end, so if they're gonna offer an official and easy alternative to using them, why not?

P-Bandai are always charged upfront with any Japanese stores that stock them iirc. Might as well just bite the bullet and not worry about it later. What item are you trying to get?

By the way, you guys should check out Mercari.jp for stuff as well. It's another Japanese second-hand website but basically eBay where all the listings are buy-it-now (no auctions) and you can find more figures for super cheap. I use Treasure-Japan as a proxy for them.
