Best part of the line was the variety, which allowed for dioramas (similar to 3.75" star wars figures). It's the type of franchise with a lot of stuff going on so they did well in leveraging that with the smaller scale. It's kind of smart too, because there will always be new high end figures (like the new 1000toys chief), but there won't always necessarily be options for armies of smaller figures or battle scenarios or more obscure side characters. It filled a useful niche.
