Figma Snake and revoltech PW BigBoss have faces that can be very hit or miss
Everything else are all top tier

Best is probably Vulcanlog(Revoltech) Venom Snake. Figma Snake is okay if you have some basic painting skill. I put some shadows around the eyes and brow are and it looks 10 times better.

Revol Mini isn't worth the markup unless you're really into 1/18 toys, even though he's not really 1/18. Revol Mini Venom Snake is better anyways.

Honestly the Revoltechs are the only good ones. Mini included. Shame most of them are MGSV and the Minis skyrocketed in price. Figma Solid Snake had promise, but the actual figure looks like garbage especially when the prototype pics looked really nice

Plus, there is a 1/12 version of Venom Snake, that is gonna be released soon, in November-December.
There are 3 editions.
Picrelated is the S++, that has the greatest amount of accessories included.

A lot of people don't like the figma, but I think he's pretty nice. The face is of mixed quality form figure to figure, but the articulation is fantastic. He's one of the only figures I can get to two hand a rifle properly.

If you can get one with a good face then go for it, I still enjoy dicking around with it.

Also, I recommend tightening some of the joints, they're a little lose by default.

Sure. I tried my best to make the repainted part show up, but all it is is extra shading to hide the skin below the bandanna. These are two versions, one heavy shading the other light, with up or down lighting. Auto focusing is messed up for some reason sorry.

I used the thin Gundam Marker but any similar water based ink pen will work.

I think moveable eyes was a bad idea. They could do a better paintjob now by using printing. Too bad there will never be a Repaint Edition like Guts.

I have both the PAK MGS1 Snake and the Revolmini, and I like them both. The only problem with the revomini is you have to pose it dynamically or else it'll look kind of shit, also his face is on a weird forward slant that fucks up the side profile. I love the PAK, but good like finding it for none rape prices.

I have the PAK MGRR Raiden and I gotta say, it's a nice looking figure if you're okay with a neutral pose. It looks beautiful just standing or an a guard pose, but don't expect anything super dynamic.
I also have the MGSPW Big Boss Revoltech and that's a great figure all around. My box got crushed though feelsbadman.

The box for the figure or the paper craft cardboard box? Because if it's the latter, I'm sure you can easily find a scan of it somewhere (probably all kinds of variations too) and reprint it on cardstock.
