>>7824741>>7824779I really like the idea and concept behind Menesor and the Stunticons but when it comes to G1, I really can't get behind the design. As individual bots, they're not bad but they're all kind of bland, with only Dragstrip having anything particularly unique about him. As Menesor, the group often doesn't get much better with the toy just plain looking goofy as fuck (though most G1 toys did so I can't really hate on it too much for that) or in the case of Sunbow, so visually uninteresting it fucking hurts. For one, the cars on the back of the calves was a terrible idea because it basically attempts to hide the aspect of Transformers that make them what they are: robots that can turn into shit. Not to mention it also hides away the main draw of combiners in that it's multiple bots mashed into one and here we are tucking two of the 5 members mostly out of sight and contributing nothing to the design. Instead we get big flat bland panels for shins. Then there's the torso which is just a big, awkwardly proportioned, monochromatic slab. It doesn't even look like it used to be Motormaster either since virtually none of his color palette exists beyond the void of almost black, despite Motormaster being predominantly light gray. Then there's the feet which are just ultra stupid looking hooves. Sunbows version has got to be the blandest, most ugly thing I have ever seen in all of Transformers and how anyone enjoys it is beyond me.
I mean look at this right here and compare it to Sunbow's design and tell me with a straight face that Sunbow did it better and that you would prefer a figure of the Sunbow design over a figure of this.
