What's some of your favorites?

How do you think they came to the decision to aim so many modern slime toys at girls?

Did you ruin anything with it?

Were you even allowed to play with it?

Any recommendations for good replacement slime for 80s and 90s toys that have long since dried up?

I've seen little barrels of glow in the dark slime on Amazon.
I always wanted this thing as a kid an lucked out finding it at a thrift store.

Well first and foremost is the fury pedo scat unicorn blind box brand that is Poopsie Surprise, JoJo has her own slime kit, and there's even a whole line with a fat Hispanic girl as the mascot at target.

If you search for girls slime toys you get a lot of other items as well.

That's great you were able to find a grail randomly 2nd hand. It's always good to hear stories like that.

Are there any more slime sets being made with action figures? Baryonyx set uses slime as lava.

oh shit, I was gonna say we weren't allowed to play with slime as kids, but you posting this made me remember my brother had this, and I loved playing with it. No idea where it went though, I'm sure my parents quietly put it to goodwill when we started getting older

This was a playset where you could submerge a 'Manglor' - a soft, rubbery figure whose limbs could be ripped apart and re-attached - into bubbling slime "lava".

It turned out that the lava substance would fuck up the figure. and literally "melt" it.

Also, the supposed play feature of being able to rip the limbs off and re-attach them were not exactly true. Often the figures had to be washed and left to dry in order for the limbs to stick back, as the figures were sticky and would pick up dirt easily, not allowing for limbs to stick.

I had a Captain Planet one, it was just a trap door, then they fall into a tub and boogers dump out on whoever. It's was more of a gelatin mix than the TMNT slime with the gitd turtle inside

Not favorites but i remember there being this retarded popular toyline around here of these rubbery insect toys which you could rip in half, and squeeze the "bladder" on the back part of the things which would spew out dense sticky green slime. They were infact so popular we actually then had another toyline of these fucks,Which were filled with edible taffy like goo in them instead. Kids here loved them for some god forsaken reason. I'd post a pic but i have no clue what the line was called, Though it doesn't matter since they all looked like enlarged realistic bugs.

I coincidentally received my first slime related toy (Attack Pack Slime-inator) around the time that I got an awful flu as a kid, that ended up with me becoming horribly dehydrated. So whenever I smell that synthetic, chemically slime scent, my mind goes back to that awful feeling of being sick.
Thankfully Slime-inator got cleaned up, and was still a lot of fun even without the slime.
