JB I believe improved the combiner joints to WB's original (I can't speak with certainty to that, though), but I don't know if you want to consider that something like "you can polish a turd, but..." I will admit, though, that there's something about his over-stylized design that kind of gets my inner-kid going "damn that looks cool!" but it might not be something for everyone.
Iron Factory's I do have, and really enjoy, but he has some caveats as well. Brawl I believe has these seams in his shoulder balls that will get worn down by the sockets they sit in unless you sand them down. Probably not so much an issue if you're simply planning on having a Bruticus around, but still should be taken note of. Also, don't bother trying to turn his head around when you transform him, it's basically pointless and futile to do. The biggest issue of course comes from Blast Off and Vortex's waist mushroom peg being somewhat stressed inside, and perhaps shaving the caps down very, very slightly could help there. There may also be something with Onslaught, but it's not something I can readily think of, so someone else might help there. I really enjoy him as this miniature gestalt in my collection.
