Did a recent Tamashii poll also list possible expression pieces as being separately sold in packs, similar to how DF does it?
I would really appreciate it. There are some expressions that would be really useful. Like a bunch for Armored Broly, or more comical faces for Goku and Vegeta.

Also a good example. No one eye closed or almost closed gritting teeth faces, no eyes closed faces (would be good for UI Omen too), no shocked faces, no comically happy/excited faces.
At least Goku 1.0 had that shocked face.

Honestly, I feel like it's the only way to get more specific facial expressions and hands.
That's not to say Bandai shouldn't do their best to pack as many things as they can into a release, but it's just not viable for them to give us more than 3-4 expressions with a single figure, so for more, additional accessory packs would work out well.

What's the deal with these? Do they use the same mold as Bandai but with Chinese parts? Additionally, is the articulation and improvement compared to original SH Vegito? The figure actually looks decent, but don't want to spend money if the joints are loose or it is cheaper quality than what I already have.

I'm not usually up on my Dragon Ball figure news, so where did this new Dragon Ball Evovle line come from? I was totally blindsided by how good this cheap little figure is!

I found Midgeta at my local Wal-Mart for $10. He's got a far better sculpt than the Dragon Star figures. Silky smooth joint moments with a incredible torso range. Plastic feels like quality and not that gummy crap. Besides the obvious slightly smaller size & no accessories, I don't like his knee joints. Otherwise, he's the best damn figure I've seen on local shelves for the price point.

We used to get even more than that back in the day. It feels like now, they just opt out of lots of faces in favor of multiple heads, sometimes only having one or two options for those heads.

Personally, I feel like if we're getting 3-4 heads, they could be varied more. Most of the time, it feels like every figure comes with; Neutral face, yelling face, teeth gritting face, and maybe a smirk/smug face. Rarely do the figures deviate from that. Would be nice to get more variety, or at least something more unique sometimes.

The heads look so bad on these, but the articulation looks way better than the DS. I feel like I would have rather had them just design the DS figures with this engineering and plastic since 6" is a way more common scale than to do it on this weird little off-scale line.

It also depends on the form. For Base Goku, goofy faces make sense to pack in with him.
For SS or SSB Goku, it feels a lot more niche because when he's in those forms, he's usually somewhat serious, fighting. Although he's been seen with more goofy faces then, too- just not as typically.

Yeah. I wasn't intending to argue a specific max amount of faces or heads per release, more so that, no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to get all the faces you want. Face and head packs would be appreciated to fill the gap there.

Can't easily google any, but I feel Buu Saga/Super brought the goofy faces into Super Saiyans back.

Something like this Gotenks face for a SS Goku would be neat. Wide eyed, but with gritted teeth or open mouth, panicky.

I would honestly say the Buu Saga SS figures really didn't have any particularly interesting non-standard faces other than that one for Gotenks, and even then, it looks almost nothing like him.

At least Super Buu has some great heads, especially that yelling face, and Mr. Satan has some great faces as well.

The original Super Saiyan Goku was supposed to come with a wide-eyed happy face too. Kinda sucks that him and Gohan didn't really come with many happy faces like that, since most of the time they're constantly in SS state after training, even with casual, fun shit is going on.

I agree that for how easy it is, Bandai has really taken their time giving us a 2.0 Vegito and Trunks.

you thought wrong, slut.

it doesnt look right. i know its technically okay but the coloring and the dark lines to outline the folds make it look weird and ugly. they may be trying to get it to look as if it was a drawing, but it doesnt work in a 3d space, or at least they didnt get it quite right. also the exaggerated brow lines just look bad no matter what and ruin the whole thing. whats the point of a good body if the face is fucked? i dont even know where the trend to exaggerate them came from. theyre only light details in the later bits of the manga but some merch makes them super obvious and big

Doubtful. His hands are probably custom made, while the reason 1.0 Vegito's Kamehameha hands have nails is because they basically just repainted Goku's hands for them.

I think that has more to do with the knee joints being made from a different plastic than the rest of the legs.

The only way they're gonna fix things like that is to paint the entire figure, which would open up its own can of worms because then you might end up with uneven paint spray and scuffing or chipping.

For real, though. I really got into the line when Vegito and Broly were coming out, and all I could think about when I had Vegito in my hands was how awful the figure looked.

Outside of the obvious issues with the old Goku mold, I always thought his hair seemed a lot smaller than it should have been and between that nacho cheese yellow hair, his SS eyes being way too dark and his whole gi and belt being navy blue he was one of the most visually unappealing figures I have ever owned.

At this point, especially with DF making a Vegito, it's just a matter of time before Bandai jumps on it to give DF the finger. I'm just so blown away. I see most customizers horribly fuck up or not even attempt to do SSG pupils. Also the little red lines beside the eyebrows! Such a good ass job.

He said painting yellows is really hard for him, so I don't think he can match SS hair. Bu twow did he match the faceplate hair perfectly.

I get that Gohan uses SS in Super and Gold Frieza was relevant in Broly, but nobody wants another 1.0 Goku body and the original release of Gold Frieza wasn't really expensive or hard to find and now the market is absolutely saturated with the event ones.

And don't forget that Bulma literally everybody forgets about because it was a Hong Kong exclusive with purple hair released right after they announced that new Bulma.

Gogeta seems like a shoo-in for the next exclusive, but bandai could always choose something incredibly stupid.

The event one being dedicated to SSR with the smirking face and the purple color on the gi immediately sold me on it, personally.

Gohan's skin tone matches the newer Goku's skin tone better than the others, so you could just pop his head onto a SROE/SSB body. That's all I wanted to do but I couldn't justify the price for just the heads.

Frieza is more just if you prefer the newer gold and/or like the uniform look over the 2-tone gold on the original.

i previously requested to see gokus head on armored trunks' body. now i realize that goku and gohan didnt have collars on their suits like trunks and vegeta. im also told that its actually easier to remove the neck joint because those are the same size, unlike the heads.

basically, im asking if anyone who owns armored trunks and vegeta could replace the head and necks with goku and kid gohan respectively.

i want to see if vegeta is short enough against trunks that he can be gohan
