They started selling these 2 fellas at the store by me. So, do I drop $180+tax on them? Are they worth that much? I mean FFIX is my favorite game, but $90~ for a 1/12 figure is just simply not okay. Any thoughts?

I mean, I paid $150 for them and have the other sets preordered because nice FFIX figures have been a dream of mine since I was a kid, and even then I feel like $75 each is kinda nuts for what you're getting.

Look at it this way: it has been literally a decade since they released the last FF9 figures, and though it is an excellent game, 9 is probably the least familiar of the PSX trio to casuals. S-E is also very unlikely to ever share the FF license with any other toymakers. Given all those facts, this is likely going to be your only chance at getting a semi-complete cast within any reasonable span of time. So how much do you like this game and these characters? Enough to make a one-time purchase of almost $1K? I suspect this will be your only chance at this, so weigh the pros and cons and think about how much you would regret missing these later on down the line, vs. what else you could do with that $1K.

It's the entire cast plus Beatrix and Kuja though! I think they're really steep for what you get but I do love FFIX enough to go through with it.

No they aren’t worth it, but you probably won’t ever get anything better either. If you love the game just bite the bullet and be happy you’re at least getting a full cast. I the Xenogears bring arts they released but they still shelfwarmed hard enough that we probably won’t even get the Weltall ID that they said would be next, let alone anything else.

Can someone redpill me on 2Bs ass quality? I like the ass on A2 so I will shill out for a third of her to not use for a custom, but am genuinely interested in 2B.

You would call me a fag but I have all of DQ Bring Arts (full XI cast, Erdrick, Alena, Rab and Sylvando on the way), Neku from TWEWY, and all FFIX cast preordered, Zidane and Garnet already at home. They're actually pretty good, expensive tho, but I don't want to pay triple their price in a few years when they got out of stock. I regret not being able to get all the old Play Arts I wanted when I was younger, so there's no way I'm skipping this now.

Cool. No, nothing faggy about it, I want all of these figures, I'm just having trouble biting the bullet. That said, even though I don't think I'll get the full cast, I may have to splurge for Zidane/Garnet, and Vivi/Steiner. That's my party anyways.
