A1 is currently producing the anime at that time and since GSC is a A1 merch-slave, they take the license and create figma out of it as a seasonal release. They didn't know that it would sell like hotcakes unlike other A1 trash that isn't Sword Art Online, so they won't bother reissue a new batch for the ones that out of sale and i had to search for a RanRan figma that is close to the original retail price and isn't fucking threefold the price like a current-year standarized figma release prices.
