Show me what you've got. I dusted off my old collection and now I want to buy some new cubes and see how things have progressed. I'm always amazed at how well some of the newer cubes perform.

I posted this before. Since this photo was taken a got a golden moyu huanying, you can look it up. It's looks good.
I collect cubes for their looks rather than their performance though.
I don't think I can handle anything more advanced than GTS2M anyway.

I only collect for performance really. I've gone from an original rubik's cube (not pictured), to a rubik branded speed cube, a ghost hand 2, and then a shen gen alpha 2, and now I've been using my dayan cube.

I've been practicing this afternoon and now I don't explode the dayan cube anymore. It's very fast and cuts corners well but tends to do that when I get a bit rough on it. I just bought a GTS2M right now since they look interesting. How do they work out for you?

GTS is 2fast4me.
I'm bad at speedcubing, and haven't learned most oll and pll algorithms yet. I also can't lookahead for shit as well.
So I'm sticking to practicing with more newfag friendly Sail for now, since I can't realize the potential of better cubes.

yeah it's gonna be a bit before I sort all of that shit out again. I am mostly getting back. I'm really hit or miss with lookahead but I did a while ago practice 2x2's and was able to solve a few blind. I really want a good 2x2. I just bought a few random ones today to see how they are. I can get 2s solves on an iphone app wish I could do it by hand but my 2x2's suck.

only somewhat modern cube is the MF4s
got an old Thunderclap and Aolong v2 in there
also a 7 year old Shengshou 5x5 that needs replacing badly

Gonna get a bunch of modern 2x2-7x7s this Christmas to hopefully fix that problem

The collection should probably be three times as large as it is now if I kept all of my 2012-2014 cubes

I recommend you look into the YJ MGC which has a really good reputation for far below flagship price at $10

If you're looking for the best thing on the market then there's the Supernova Valk 2 M for $25

If you're looking for something below $10, there's the $5 Little Magic 2x2 which still performs very well, just sometimes has minor lockups when spamming TPS
