>>7848532“We promised to stay true to what makes Glyos special,” explained Matt, “and we kept pushing. We survived the Chinese tariffs, the North American land war, the flooding of half of Australia, and moving the factories to the moon. But we feel like we’ve explored everything there is to Pheyden’s story, and it’s time to wrap things up. Thanks for all the love over these 47 years.” I couldn’t believe it. Glyos was over. We hadn’t even gotten a story conclusion for VR Passcode, the PS9 game where you play the role of Pheyden in a fully immersive multi-dimensional open world. I was in shock. For old time's sake, I browsed the other Glyos shops still on the VRSphere. The Godbeast store had an impressive list of figures on holo-display, including a couple of Apocalypse Mushis and a Saturnia Nemesis, both with free Wingz. Just for fun, I put in an order for a Callgrim Trando on
Callgrim.com, chuckling to myself at the futility of the gesture. I returned to the Crafsman Toy Forums, reading through the posts on the most active toy forum on the VRSphere. In the Buy-Sell-Trade prism, someone was wanting to buy a Pheydenstein (Ha! One of the most sought-after rarities, I hadn’t seen one up for sale in a decade, at least), which was the only Barterpost that stood still in place as dozens of other holo-trades whizzed and buzzed past, the figures being transported instantly via holo-portation to some lucky underground bio-bunker. Over on the Lore prism, posters debated whether Zebryvus was a true Pheyden or an alternate reality Pheyden who had been infected by the Graxus virus and traveled through time corrupted by the influence of ChorgaroMan. In the Introductions prism, hellos were waving here and there - the fools! They had no idea they’d entered something already sleeping, a cruel puppeted performance of a ritual we would no longer be able to participate in. (2/3)
