Oh it's by far unacceptable. This is why I only purchase the ad on kits from them. Not joints of their own to fuck up. But at the same time it's not like the figure is ruined. It's a pretty easy fix. I even have a spare SRoE Goku I use for parts, could just nick the joint from him.

By that, I mean they don't intend to send a replacement neck peg to anyone who broke it on their original? You have to buy the SSB set?

Most of those people emphasized that the neck peg was weak and made precautions, like JP Toys who widened the hole for the heads.
It's a fix, but it shouldn't be necessary in the first place.

Oh I agree. They need to work on QC. I've recently purchased a couple of the Dasin Model figures and they're also based in China but they seem to be a bit sturdier than DF stuff. So it's possible for DF to be a bit better quality wise. It's really a shame because we could get some decent figures out of them if they were just a little better QC wise. At least they seem to be lighting the fire under Bandai's ass though to make figures like Ginyu.

Yep. DF is still useful for the head sets that Bandai would probably not release (unless they were entire separate full figures) and now for giving Bandai a push to make certain figures.

Mine just arrived today. I ordered on the 31st, and they didn't ship out until last Monday. FedEx tried to deliver Friday, then Yesterday, then finally I managed to get it today since they just kind of walked off without trying to knock or ring the bell.

Really wasn't expecting it, since the tracking on Friday after the delivery attempt told me they wouldn't even try again until Monday.

Honestly, the idea that they might reuse the Broly movie head sculpt is what keeps me from getting the current base and SS heads. I'm just not really a big fan of them- much prefer the SSB head sculpt. Hair looks better, face looks better- in my opinion.
Would hope for DF to make a headset, but Marko would probably make the SS hair metallic again, like he did with Vegito and the Gogeta heads.

At this point it is totally worth holding out. There is now no reason to buy Awakening unless you want another battle damaged Goku aside from the UI one. His head sucks.

For Vegeta his Super Saiyan hair doesn't match anything because it is painted. So I would def hold out for a SS Vegeta.

Yeah. Used to be I wanted to get Awakening Goku because it was such a good looking figure, sculpt-wise, and the head and hair was the newest version of SS Goku we had. Still is, technically.
But I have to admit, as things look now, I'd much rather a SS Goku with the SSB Goku hair sculpt, or at least something similar. I like the face shape and the hair shape more.
And also, the color of the body doesn't work well with all the 2.0 Gokus, sadly. Yet to see if UI Goku's body does work for swapping purposes.
Naturally, I would hope whatever SS Goku 2.0 we get has matte yellow hair with orange shading. Not because I don't dig the metallic, but because it's the most consistent.

I appreciate the full lfigures just for the sole fact that they might light a fire under Bandai's ass, but as mentioned here, I really would appreciate Marko coming out with stuff like the SSB Vegeta faces being made into SSG faces and vice versa, the SSB Vegeta head being recolored to be base and SS form.
Also, a Broly head where basically each head has the two additional expressions, so screaming and gritting teeth for base, and so on. Could come with an effects piece too, because Broly could really use one, and the Vegito one proves that he can do it.

You do, however, get an extra base head with Scouter Vegeta as >>7848561 said.
I think the only legit way to get an official base Vegeta head right now, and it's a different sculpt from the SSG/SSB one.

Hopefully we do get a First Form Frieza in the Figuarts line someday, but with how well they're doing the big figures in this line, I'd really like to see them do a second form. I can live without 3rd form because it doesn't really do much, but second form had some great moments and was pretty imposing.

I'm in a bit of the same and have been for quite a while. What I can only recommend is you really evaluate which characters / parts of the series you like. Don't buy up every single release they put out unless that particular character *really* strikes a chord with you. I'd also take a moment to examine each figure individually and what they on their own bring as worth vs when displayed with other figures. If you're finding a figure can't stand on its own unless it is paired up with another, might be best to let it go.

Personally I would like to see more in future releases, regardless of the price. I'm passed the point of accepting stuff "piece meal". Given as all the heads, all the outfits, interchangeable torso's, vehicles, etc.

Whilst I don't agree with this instance specifically, when it comes to the violence element it saddens me how "toned down" shonen has become since the 80's. FYI, before I even started I heated it up and replaced the neck peg with an official one from a spare Goku I had. It's more so the peg holes are very small, so I would suggest widening them a bit with a screwdriver.

Alternatively you can just slightly increase the hole in the head (I had to anyway since the official peg is bigger). It's not a difficult precaution to do.

This. The hair sculpt is still pretty meh. Plus it's metallic, unlike pretty much 90% of all other SS figures.
The body is essentially just the Goku body, so nothing novel there.
The faces are good.
Neck peg is shit and the fact that it looks like they're not replacing them for everyone, just bundling a replacement neck peg with the 40+ dollar addon set that consists of one head, a few expressions and a spirit sword effect makes matters worse.

Yeah. Joints are solid just like figuarts. Not floppy at all and testing full range nothing came off. I don't think Jeice was that bad for the joints either, it was more the flat sculpt and limited articulation.

They're not Bandai tier yet, but another year and I think their releases could be on par.

The regular hair is ok, faceplates ok. The faceplates from the official version don’t quite fit onto the hair of the bootleg version without leaving a gap at the forehead.

Don’t have a pic of the pink hair on my phone right now, but you’ll find video reviews on YouTube. It’s much lower quality.

Looks about twice as tall as Nappa at least. Which means the original estimates for 14-16 inches were correct. Not big enough to be accurate, nor would it ever be but more usable than Shenron. I have no issue with this scale, I just hope it's somehow less than Ghidorah for some reason.
