Did you ever run into physical space limit, preventing you from increasing your collection?
How did you solve it?
Did you just stop buying new toys? Or found some other solution?
I currently reached my limit and I have nowhere to put my shit, but there are at least 3 more figures I want to buy, but if I do I won't have a place to display them.
I display all my toys, so storing them somewhere where I can't see them is not an option.
I also keep all the boxes and accessories and shit, so that's a secondary issue here.

The last two times it happened I just upgraded my display.
I went from four floating shelves to 3 detolfs to 3 billies (two double wide and one single).
I've also gotten into the habit of rotating figures for display so it doesn't look too cluttered.
As for boxes I only keep special ones now, like ones for limited edition figures or ones that have nice designs and I keep my accessories in a small set of draws.

Too bad they were too spaced apart, what I've done to combat it a little is putting a stop to statue shit (does fuck all), aiming at smaller figures which I can literally chuck in a draw/box and stow away, and donating anything that I've bought that has been made obsolete WITHIN THE SAME YEAR to charity (one of the pitfalls of transformers collecting, constantly updating itself).

But I've hit my limit, my clothes wardrobe is more boxes than clothes, my room itself is surrounded by boxes, under my bed is boxes, and a storage room is (you guessed it) full of boxes.

How much is displayed however is one display cabinet and just a few figures around my room (omn top of said boxes loose), my future plan is cover the house in detolfs, but its taking a little too long and unless my impulses stop soon I may need to rent out a container or something.

Regardless of all this shit titan unicron from the transformers line is my final figure, I'm trying to move back into video games, least those stack neatly

Do you just throw away your old shelves? Or sell them?
My shelf is like 15 years old, I don't think anyone would buy it.

I'm currently in the process of selling my detolfs but I've mostly being trying local buying/selling groups, I'll probably out them up on eBay or something next year.

You'd be surprised, as long as it's in decent condition and you set the price low enough someone will probably buy it.

This is good advice, I consider myself decently controlled when buying new stuff, only getting what I really like and never trying to “complete” teams or something like that.
Then I got into Transformers with Titans Return because I really like headmasters and now I’ve got one drawer completely filled with Transformers. I don’t really know what happened there...

It's a slippery slope for sure.
I started this year and have already bought a lot.
My original goal was just Studio Series Decepticons, then I extended if to classic style Decepticons but only core cast members, then I extended it to all Decepticons and now I'm buying classic core cast Autobots.
That being said I still like them and do have self control and they're not the only thing I buy so it's find (r-right?).

I'm deeply afraid of my room reflecting my NEET manchild self so I limit my collection to four small shelves and that's not a lot of space. I keep a couple bigger figures boxed in my closet but if I want to buy something new I have to sell something to make space on those shelves.

You're why Detolfs are given an image as being for poorfags and hoarders.

I am kind of getting to this point. My only worry is that I’m in my childhood home and when I want to move, I’m worried that with no boxes I’m gonna have a lot of broken shit in the move. But the boxes are what’s truly suffocating, and I typically buy second-hand/slightly damaged figures so I never intend to sell a lot of what I have.
