So do these guys always write the full value of each shipment? Sucks getting dinged for import fees on a SAL shipment worth about 11k yen.

Meanwhile my EMS shipped 22k yen Metal build shipped from Anime-export didn't get dinged at all because they only put 3000yen value on the shipping label.

You can't really fault a company for not committing fraud, you're just a poorfag that doesn't understand responsibility.
Imagine this scenario:
You order a $500 metal robot.
You get a shop to declare it's value at $30, and they ship it.
The box gets damaged during transit, and the insurance only pays out the $30.
You find this unacceptable, and open a dispute. You want the actual value of the item, not the $30 YOU HAD IT DECLARED FOR.
Now the shop that did you a favor has a real headache.
The fact that it never occurs to you that there are reasons for things is why you should probably just kys.

SAL shipping is uninsured

Having the full value written on there doesn't help me at all if the package gets lost or stolen.

Just how it is since they're required by law to do it. I'm pretty sure the post office has started checking all boxes with branded names on them since I always get flagged nowadays whereas before I got shit past the radar all the time.
You pretty much just have to account for the extra charges when buying from a foreign store that doesn't undervalue or use a proxy.

Ironically it does with EMS, and that's where you got it undervalued.

If you are ok with that then you are ok with paying unplanned import fees since it less than replacing a lost package .

Unless you are just lying and if your uninsured package do gets lost , you will demand the shipper for full refund.

What? When you ship with standard SAL you are not insured for anything. When you use Rsal you are only protected for up to 6000yen.

It's not about being "OK" with getting fucked by a lost package. It's about not appreciating paying import tax on something you have no protection on anyway. There is no upside as the customer.

It's the law and Japan has a good working relationship with most nations. HLJ is a legitimate company and must pay taxes or get investigated. If you don't like your import taxes than maybe you should start voting.

THat's a lot of bs, most of those funds are embezzled or spent poorly. For example, my tax money goes to funding public healthcare for fatfucks who refuse to lose weight and overtax our fucked up medical system, while another chunk of it goes to fat ass fat fuck welfare queens giving birth to unlimited spawn so they "can get their nails did", this is to say nothing of what's embezzled by politicians pushing special interest laws and regulations just to give them an extra bump at my expense.

I wouldn't mind paying taxes if they actually went somewhere fucking useful like funding the pensions of future workers or the elderly who served their country in some fashion, but I resent paying parasites.

Most of us don't have access to such an advanced technology. Can you share how the process works? Here in the USA, I don't have any way to get this information.
