The big ghost on the box is better than the plane, but I might be able to reconfigure it to something less bulky, but if nothing else it's a parts pack when clearance time rolls around.
I like that portal for some reason. The figures aren't bad, either.

I’m a bit disappointed. I loved the “City, but haunted” look of wave 1. These look too much like Ninjago or Batman design sets.

I feel a bit let down. I loved the "Urban, yet occupied by spirits" theme of the first wave. These look like a lot like the Chima or Marvel type of sets.

Five minifigs. One being JB, a driver, two passengers, and a kid.

Bumper flips up to reveal a scan plate, inside of one of the doors is another. The four color scan is a piece of luggage JB was carrying.

Instead of a flip monster face, I’d have some places to clip transparent spooky parts. The driver is the one who is possessed, but where he’s taking the bus is whatever the Hidden Side euphemism for the afterlife is.

seriously tho, that's emmets car in purple, what is nice tho is emmet's car in transformer form, mine bases the roof from the one the youtuber "synthetic mason" made, with the difference that mine has real wheels and space (although only without hats or hairs) to fit a minifig inside in it's car mode, pic related

I'd be way more into these if they actually came with the big unique ghosts on the box art. Kinda lame that they show these designs off but don't have physical pieces and bigfig versions of them. I do like the new ghost cum elements though.

Well friends of LG the day has finally come - I'm going to need some input and advice from all of you if you're willing to give it.

The issue is as follows - in the not so distant future I'm going to start setting up a room dedicated to my Lego collection (not much different to what Jang has done, hence the picture).
I'll add a diagram of it in a follow-up post including its dimensions.

My questions for you are the following?
What sort of advice would you give me if you've had experience with setting up something like this? What do you think would be relevant and what sort of issues do you think could arise?

I'm not just looking for input from people who have a set-up like this but also people that have thought about it and maybe want to do something like this someday.
Just give me some ideas/advice/concepts if you can. I'd be immensely grateful.

So here's a rough outline of the room. The dimensions are 4.5 x 4.5 meters for the large square and 3 x 3 meters for the small one.
The red boxes are heating units that cannot be moved or removed. The yellow lines mark windows.

I cannot fully gauge the size of my collection but I'd say it includes:
-All the Blacktron I sets + 20 MOCs, All the Futuron sets + 20 MOCs, about 20+ Blacktron III MOCs, 25% of the Classic Space sets + a few other sets from other space factions. Should have Ice Planet 2002 complete by 2020.
I also have about 20+ Halo Mega Blocks sets (don't flame me) that I want to display here as well.
If you were in this situation, what would you do with it?

Try to make it modular friendly, i.e. measure the exact size of a plate used for crestor modular buildings (or street plates, they are the same size) and use those as a measure ti divide your table, divide your mocs accomodated in said plates so you can easily replace entire plates of creations without fear of running out of space also at work so i cant show but i hanged almost all of my planes and ships to the ceiling to make it immersive, if you have a subterranean mine like i do, put it below the tables for more goodness

I'd just have a couple tables, some occupying lower right corner, painted gray so classic space baseplates blend in. Optional wall decoration to mimic a cliff or mountains, you could make the setup look larger by building huge fake doors flanked by BURP pieces.

Another along the top window, in white, for Ice Planet.

And one more somewhere else if you want to do Black Zone for Blacktron with their Edgy Black Baseplates.

I will probably keep the 4.5x4.5 area as a zone-focused display area and the smaller area will be where I'll set up my MOC-making shelves and other required things.

Not at all. I hate stickers. The stickers are also compromising the design, if anything. Its more like the 7-wide design and the cleverly integrated parts like the fin piece. Actually I always thought lego cars should be 7 studs wide so you could fit two minifigs side by side. Its a hard thing to pull off tho.

Not all the way through. Its at most 8 wide. The ends are 8 wide but the body is 7 1/2. I still have this autism about lego cars fitting 2 figs like normal cars and I think this is a good compromise. I always thought 4-wide cars looked undersized.

I'm assuming direct control. I haven't seen any mention of the Halloween Spooktacular in like a week. Let me know if someone won already, but I don't think it has happened. Personally, I thought 5 was the best. It was a neat little vignette that was well built and pretty comfy. It wasn't as story-oriented as the others but the build more than made up for it.

[spoiler:lit]Contest anon here, yes i've had several hangovers.
As a small spoiler, here's some of the super secret prizes i've just gotten in the mail.
I have written up the text but tried to make some images of my own to accompany it.
Real life kinda got into the way i'm afraid. My bro just broke up with his gf that he lived with and moved back in my house.

Those hoods are pretty limited in comparison to the type of formers that i do, if you have bricklink i recommend using it for "modified plates" which is the bricks that can hinge together and move, as well as droid arms, faucet taps, etc. If you dint have bricklink, some of the lego movie sets and ninjago sets are pretty dope for aquiring pieces, altho i sometimes buy small city cars for their hoods, windshields and wheels, cheers

Help me pick a shade of green to use for realistic models of vegetation: trees, bushes, meadows, etc. Consider realism and part availability. Pic related is what we're trying to escape.

well it's not that difficult, there aren't that many greens. You're left with olive green, sand green and bright green. Lime might work for some plants, and you could throw in some dark tan.
I've seen vegetation matching standard green in real life though.

Above all I dislike the unnatural look of the standard green. It's too intense and too cold (not enough yellow mixed in) to resemble natural vegetation in Europe. I'll probably go olive green, with elements of dark tan and tan. Sand green is too far off and I'll probably use it for building roofs anyway.

My problem is that I feel like they've cut some characters to only put them in the app. I want the stuff you see on the box, all of it.
Otherwise I like the grim tone that this universe have.

Because before leaks, I used to be in awe every time I saw new sets on shelves. It was always a big surprise and I could by it right away. Now when I have leaks like 6 months before the actual set, the thing sorta looses its spice, because despite being 'new' it's nothing new to me. I'm the opposite of you - this wave is actually tempting me to get into Hidden Side. Just like you said, the figures are much better this time around, and I wasn't big on the 'flip it round to reveal the ghost building' gimmick. I have a bunch of the new eco plant plants.

They're slightly smoother than the other pieces, but I can't tell the difference other than that. Despite the memes, they aren't biodegradable and won't dissolve in water. They're just made from a different plastic than traditional ABS.

They started with them last wave, the previous fire truck had the same lady as in the helicopter set, and the donut store set had a named cop.
