at least their releases are significantly different and far enough apart. mafex released version 1, then what's essentially version 1.5 went up for preorder a month later, then less than half a year from that they announce the same figure with additional accessory and a new head

What are you talking about? 1.5 homecoming went up for pre-order like a year or so after homecoming 1.0 came out. And even then, it was basically in place of a restock, something mafex actually does where Bandai doesn't

first release was delayed twice then came out with questionable quality for waldos
a month later preorders are up for a second release of the same figure, but they change the way they paint/assemble the waldos
now they announce the same figure but with additional glowing eyes head and stark gauntlet

It's not up for preorder anywhere, only just got revealed, and even the first release is miles better than anything Bandai makes. Yeah I agree it's kinda iffy that they reveal it a couple months after it comes out, but still.
