>>7884078>Is BeyBlade real?Yeah
>do the stats on the box mean anything?
Kind of, but not really. Some parts can be incredibly useful in certain combinations and complete trash in others.
>Does launching 'technique' do anything?Yes. Really level launches are beneficial for defense and stamina since those don't want to be moving around a whole lot because they're all about maintaining stability and spin.
If you do a flat launch on an offensive top it will pick up too much speed and waste half of its energy circling the outside of the arena before it slowly creeps towards the middle and ineffectually bumps into the other top, so you really want to do an angled launch so it stays more centered and slopes to scoop thr other too from underneath to knock it off-balance.
>Does attack ring shape mean anything?Really depends on the series. Having lots of ridges means it can snag, or get snagged on, other parts more easily, which causes more pushback and instability.
Inversely, being very rounded makes it hard to get snagged and can allow the top to regain its balance more easily.
>Or is it all bullshit and a heavy top launched at high enough RPM just auto-win?Stamina builds kind of have a distinct advantage overall, because ultimately you want to be the last one standing.
Theoretically at least, offense is built to try and KO as quickly as possible which beats stamina, stamina is meant to spin as long as possible which beats defense, and defense is meant to be as stable as possible which shuts down offense.
Reallistically, offense can be very hit-or-miss depending, stamina is the most logical way to build, and defense is just a shit version of stamina.
