>>7889908>If every company cared SO much about upholding this "stipulation" like you say, no one would be able to buy figmas, SHF, etc of marvel stars, etc from sites like HLJ and Amazon, but you still can. Why?Again, you don't understand how the license works.
Bandai sells their shit to distributors and stores large enough to have their own distribution network (Walmart). If Amazon stopped, its because of the licensing thing. They're large enough to directly buy from Bandai, like Walmart.
> because Disney actually doesn't give a shitYou're ignorant as hell. They care because they made the license in the first place. THEY'RE being cheated out of money if a company like Bandai is purposely selling their shit to a region they didn't pay for. If they didn't put their bid in to outdo Revell and purposely sells shit to North America, a company like Disney views this as outright theft.
If we were talking about a few hundred or even thousand bucks, that's still something worth suing over, and companies like Disney and Bandai are making sure they're NOT going to be sued.
For a license like Star Wars and a company as big as Bandai? That's millions of extra dollars Disney could have gotten. This increases the stakes for everyone involved, for Disney to make sure the license is upheld and Bandai making sure they're not breaking any of their conditions.
Again, go look at how serious just retail stores are about street dates on products they sell. Shit's serious business when it comes to following the conditions in selling products, because they're fucking businesses.
