Yeah, it's their own policy that caused this. They can't reissue limiteds otherwise it will damage their integrity and devalue their products.

Anyone paying for an OG Goku Black now is giving their money to a 3rd party anyway. Bandai/Toei/Toriyma make no profit off the 2nd hand market, so DF aren't really affecting them. They also aren't undercutting the MSRP, so doesn't affect the sales of future exclusives either.

Currently, Goku Black's original release is not in broader circulation, therefore Bandai doesn't stand to lose out on their original Goku Black sales because somebody else does it cheaper at the same time.
That figure's run has come and gone and the only ones selling it now are scalpers.
However, one can argue that this does run in conflict with the SDCC Goku Black, which I think is still being sold officially? Even if at the end of its lifespan?

Gotenks looks like a little Vegeta. The Figuarts doesn't capture that perfectly but it does alright. The real issue is his head is way too big just like Kid Goku. If DF released scaled down heads to normal sized heads along with a base head, then his figure would be great with less risk of the face falling off due to hitting pads. Him being as tall as he is wouldn't be such an issue in that case. Same with Kid Goku

Wouldn't he still be too tall? But yeah this, and the lack of a base head or an SS3 head and the overall lack of polish made Gotenks a really underwhelming figure.

Most people use the anime as a frame of reference for what characters should look like as opposed to the manga, so it's kind of hard to take anyone's criticism seriously or evaluate what's actually off about shit when they just grab some random frame of animation and go "WHY DOESN'T IT LOOK LIKE THIS?"

Honestly, the only times I've had shelf dives with my DB stuff have been OG Broly-related because he's just top-heavy as fuck and the claw bandai includes with him is inadequate for anything besides just helping him stand up, and even then it still sucks for that.

I've been fortunate to have put my DB stuff on lower shelves and have clothes I'm too lazy to properly put away to break the fall when Broly falls over; the worst part about it is that I lean him on the back of the shelf to stop him from falling over and he still manages to do it, somehow.

I suppose it's about even otherwise. Both are great figures.
I could argue that King Piccolo is an exclusive unlike Broly so he'll be harder to find later on, but even exclusives tend to be available for at least a few months after their release date.

I'm not a great poser myself, but I've spent some time working on it. Your poses there look "loose" in the sense that they aren't really putting their all into the attack. DB characters usually have tight poses, pic related. Remember that Vegeta brings his right leg up to his chest and his chest and arms are angled upward and his head his facing down in front of him while doing the Galick Gun. It's tricky to pull off with a fig, but it's possible with the right angles. Goku usually brings his right leg up and extends his leg out in front of him while doing the Kamehameha. His hands are also down by his waist. Make sure to look up references as well. I recommend looking up moves from DBFZ and trying to recreate those. There's also guides here on /toy/ on how to properly set up the body so it looks correct and anatomical, if you really want to get into it.

I haven't really seen anyone that actually is. More seem to prefer Manga Merged Zamasu at least in that part of the battle.That and him actually being able to regenerate as an immortal rather than the philosophical bullshit from Gowasu about how the goo form was "how he feels inside" as well as "Black was mortal, therefore it conflicts with Zamasu's immortality".

I'd say only go for a custom if you are certain that a character will never get made officially. Bardock already has a Dragon Stars release so it's not as special anymore for a custom that only you have. Unless you really have a thing for SHF and need all figures in that specific boring style that everyone's seen a million times.

Another plus to the DF is that it might prompt Bandai to release Goku Black again with more accessories. We might even get a slightly updated sculpt or paint job. Them releasing Ginyu and Kaioken Goku really didn't seem like a coincidence to me.

Yeah, it's pretty good. I made a Meruem out of him, won't look cheap if you can paint or spray with matte at least.

Also easy as lego to disassemble so you can make him look like he is cut in half any time you want and put him next to awakening Goku.

Probably the one with shoulder pads. It'd go better with the Ginyus and is an easy reuse of parts they already have to make a quick bit of dosh. They might make the other if they're gonna do another set of Namek balls like they are with Earth's.

But I think most people will say he's acceptable. As in, he does mostly what you want form a fused Zamasu figure, but he isn't outstanding like Super Buu or Broly.
But I think he's definitely worth getting.

Bandai underproduced him massively and then will never release him like that again because they're fucking retards and have some bullshit retard made up self imposed rule they can't re-release certain figures because "MUH COLLECTORS".

But changing the paint color a smidge and shitting it out somehow bypasses this, so theres the SDCC exclusive one, and probably will be another regular one where they delete one accessory and replace it with another and "WOW, STACY HAS A NEW HAT" and all the collectors are fine with this because they're all shit eating morons.

Watching out for that too.
The paint quality could be sufficient, it's just the plastic quality I worry about.
However, the other previous reuse of a Bandai sculpt (Kaioken Goku) was also one of their better releases, so I have some hope.

Kid Goku at least could've sold well because it was a color scheme you couldn't otherwise get unless you repainted your regular release.
Goku Black was a discount, shitty translucent plastic haired version of the original Goku Black.

They use completely separate head pegs, so they're incompatible.

The World Tour version will be a repaint of Full Power Broly with the darker skin tone, repainted black hair and pupils added onto the face plates' white eyes.

I mean, it's not Full Power Broly level, but he's a big guy.
At least, it looked that way. Could've also just been the perspective, though. Either way, I think it should work out so long as he's smaller than SHF Full Power Broly. It's something you should be able to fudge because regardless of his true scale, he's meant to come off as hulking and imposing.
This all has me wondering if Bandai plans to ever make a Full Power Jiren, though. I'd like to consider there's a fair chance.

Character perspective and visual tricks are used all the time to make characters seem more or less imposing. Don't take action shots from an anime or manga as "X is THIIIIIIIS BIG", because artists exaggerate a lot on purpose. Just look at some official height chart or animator's reference for their supposed heights.

Regular Jiren is around as tall, if a bit taller, than Goku.
Full Power Jiren is basically Gamagoori from Kill la Kill, though, in that he's dramatically bigger depending on frame.

Correct. His body shape can give off the illusion he is a hulker but he's pretty much Goku/Gohan in terms of height.

My only issue with the Figure-Rise FP Jiren is that he might be *too* big. He looks like he reuses a few Broly parts particularly in the torso, arms and legs. I'll still likely get him anyway since I have the Figure-Rise UI Goku and he can go with him if it doesn't work out for SHF.

Yeah. Honestly, I'd just like to see if he's as big/bigger than the SHF Broly. If I recall, the Figure-Rise Broly is around the same size as the SHF one.
If he's smaller than the Figure-Rise Broly and as such the SHF Broly, he might still be worth it, although part of me would also like to wait for an official SHF Full Power Jiren.
