Pause at any time during the Lego Movie and everything looks like it could be made with Legos, and the whole thing is animated with a stop-motion effect as if it were handbuilt. Meanwhile Playmobil Movie is just a B-list Dreamworks film with a Playmobil aesthetic. All the characters have round, flat heads and claw hands, but their bodies flex and move that no actual figure could be built to.
